I understand. Wasn't sure what the intention was or if they were still tweaking.

surely only amber when using the turn signal?

If that's the case as the same as the UK I can put you in contact with a guy in the UK who can mod them for you

Yeah, you can use yellow film or amber film, but it's still strange that in AUS the turn signal in the back has to be amber, because most of world MFG have red turn signals.

I think you'll find that except for North America (US and Canada), the rest of the world (with one or two exceptions, Switzerland, I believe) requires amber turns in the back (and I believe everybody now requires amber turns in the front). Its codified in the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic, Chapter II, Section 39. Its well documented in law and the popular press that this is the case.

read the Vienna convention stuff here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vienna...n_Road_Traffic But the detail on tails isn't precise, they want amber if possible, but too many cars have red as the brake AND a separately light that blinks red for turn signals in back.

Have spent about an hour doing some research, while they do recommend the amber for the turn in AUS, I could not find anything that specifically said you couldn't use red as the turn signal indicator in back. In front, that's easy, no problem, but in back, different story.

Do a search on youtube and you'll find hundreds of corvette tails for the C6 that are all red and blink red as well in the AUS market. So I guess I could learn a little more, but I'm not sure what the issue would be if the tails were all red and blinked red as well.

---
PS: we are told production is still being completed,

Don't want to get your hopes too high, but we are in constant communication with the factory (almost daily at this point) and they unequivocally have said this week is impossible to finish any lights for delivery. We are being promised that at least a few lights will be released for AIR shipment next week. In order for us to maintain the BEST PRICE POSSIBLE for these lights, the orders will need to be in before the first batch is shipped late/end of next week.

We have already paid for it, but we are upping our volume given the high demand. We won't post total ### because we know the competition is watching, but the #s are AMAZING!

It's interesting that the "L" shaped lights do not dim when the turn signals/hazards are being used which contradicts the post you showed earlier on IG. Have these lights changed at all since being on the yellow GS? Just seems strange that we have all these differences (including that one set where the DRLs are the amber lights on the outside rather than the "L" shaped lights).

You're right on the video, but I'm told production units will dim.

Do you have a list of any other changes that may have occurred in production? I'm assuming the change from the outside amber DRLs to the "L" shaped light is one of them?

Thanks!

Do you have any pics of the back side of the lights, & close up's of the lenses? I've seen a few pics online that seem to show the quality/workmanship may not be where it should be for the price. Thanks.

That would be great. With all of the inconsitiences in function and design I think there may be a lot of upset folks when the lights start rolling in.

Ok, here's an update, and unfortunately, because we're trying to be transparent we're going to wind up helping our competitors! Furthermore, we want you guys to know we're working hard on your behalf so that you know 100% of what the product you are getting.

We're not a 'third party' source here like other sellers, we don't have to wait for someone to get to someone to get to someone etc. There is significant value in that if you should have an issue or question answered.

Tails:
All the tail lights currently being built have the duality of sequential or standard blinking option for the turn signals. As a result, the way the circuity is designed, there is a delay on the normal tail light function when compared to the standard center mount brake lights already on the car of between .03 and 1 second - with the average delay tested at .5 - What that means is that in many cases, there is a marginally and imperceptible delay, but that may cause some anxiety on your part. We understand.

Here's what we came up with last night with the factory. If you want to keep the sequential aspect of the tail lights, it will always be delayed, this is how the circuity is designed currently and the engineers do not know how to change it. If you do not want the sequential and you want the tail lights to operate in standard "on/off" mode, then there will be no delay ever but the circuity has to be redesigned and that's a 4-6 week lead time change.

Basically, if you are wiling to wait 1 month, but also willing to lose the sequential option, then the tails will operate perfectly without delay and look the same (and we'll delay the order for you and keep it on our logs). If you want the sequential there will be a delay (varies with the car). Driving yesterday in the evening, most cases from the original factory LED tails on many many other cars, there is definitely an imperceptible delay (unless you look for it) on some cars that offer a sequential tail light like the new Audis, there is definitely a delay. Those cars that have the standard on/off there is no delay.

We can go into very minute detail on this situation (given our 3+ hour back and forth on this digesting all the nuances last night) but suffice it to say, we're open to your comments on this matter so we can make the proper decision on behalf of all the pre-orders and future orders. Keep in mind these will still be DOT certified regardless of your choice.

Headlights:
The videos that are available from the only two cars that have currently got the lights installed are not entirely accurate. The last video we posted from our instagram page is accurate, the DRL is the "L" and the "L" will fade when you use the turn signal (either in standard or sequential mode). Exact quote:
it is correct that DRL will dim while the turn signals [sic]on based on the circuit layout.
That's what the factory has stated numerous times and that's what we're going off of.

I'll be happy with these headlights if they do indeed work like the video on Instagram. I don't mind that the DRL doesn't fully turn off when the signals are on. It dims enough for me to be satisfied.

Thanks for all of the time you are obviously putting into this!

As a general reminder to others.

We have now 3 locals that are interested, but until one pre-orders and sets a date with us, we still have not locked up the free local install spot
