Ive never used the flash to pass feature on any car ive ever driven, nor has anyone who has passed me on a 2 lane. ... oh wait, that never happens

When I tried to position them with the nuts loose, the assembly would move Everytime i tried to tighten them down from being loose.

The good news is the factory is exploring something - had a chat with them yesterday - on fixing the bixenon when DRL switched off issue that has come up.
We have a way to fix that with our own harness that we are figuring out today but it will entail adding some wiring which is not elegant. So we'll work with the factory to fix that directly, but the fix we came up with today is very very easy to implement.

The best way to do it is not to tighten any of the bolts fully - ask described below - and move it around. I also recommend a little bit of grease, tear drop worth to make maneuvering the unit more easily so it doesn't snag on any of the body parts as you line it up.
Splitting hairs on this one a little - if you don't disable the DRL, the high beam function will work. So technically the lights can be used just like US spec - sort of. Again, this is splitting hairs and sub-optimal, but it's doable.
haha I had a customer today tell us he was upset because in his country the inspector would fail him because he would see internal wires (visible only if you scrunch down, crane your neck, and twist your head AFTER opening the hood) to see them, but it's the nature of the business. People have needs, we try to serve when possible.

I've never said Umnitza hasn't been fantastic. In fact I've given them several accolades in this and other threads.
I should have said that this is a major safety issue in my opinion, which it is. Not being able to flash my brights if I need to worries me as it's a natural reaction in certain situations.

No problem. And if we really want to talk about it, below are the DOT regulations. It's pretty clear the high and low beams need to be selectable at any given time.
This isn't a knock at all on Umnitza. They did not design or produce the lights. They spent countless hours working with the factory to answer the million questions they have been asked. What I did was tighten the 3 nuts just tight enough where I could still barely adjust the lights. Then once you get a good fit/position... Tighten them down all the way

I did not remove the front bumper fully. Just loosened the side and the fender to access the headlight assembly. Do you recommend reinstalling the fender and bumper prior to tightening down the new headlights? Going to be giving this another shot again in a few hours. I'm finding the fitment not so great.

You guys can use our www.youtube.com/umnitza videos to show you how, helps to have a rack or 2 jacks (or even jackstands if tall enough) to get it handled.
