Its really pretty simple. Don't like it, don't buy it. But no need to trash it.

doggie door handle
unfortunately, it appears to me, to be legit.
you can buy a car for a number of reasons, but if one of your beefs is with the complications of opening a door, may be you should just let your dog drive.
I can see the reasoning behind this, but it's way to close to being from j.c. whitney to me.

I have no dog in this fight but it always happens and always will. Free speech is great but sometimes ya wonder why we always have to be negative?

Is "Sandyeggo Designs" a sponsor here on the Corvette Forum?
Never heard of the company before.

Good question. I do not know. I have seen them in the C7 section. Maybe the C7 is harder to get into?

Safety Car
I’ve had a passenger or two that could’ve benefited from one of these. I think it’s kinda neat, but practically speaking, my wife’s usually the only person that goes anywhere with me, and I always open the door for her. But still kinda nifty and I’ll bet it might keep clumsy hands with rings on them from reaching for the pad and leaving scratches behind. Just sayin’....

You are right. Trash it no, negative replys, yes. Someone introduces something new and people can't just say no or not replay. There has to be a negative reply about fingerprints or

While not a product I would put on my car I do think it might benefit someone that might have hand issues, maybe carpal tunnel. Someone who might not be able to squeeze the handle or press the button hard enough open the door.

This company has come up with some great solutions to some problems (Bin Buddy. ), and the seat belt minder. Both for C7, FWIW.

They made an uncomplicated, neat solution for what is a non-issue or at best a very minor "problem". As already stated, it would work well for people with some type of physical hand challenges. Beyond that, if you don't like it you don't have to buy it.

Guys, we need to be careful of not becoming intolerant of things we don't agree with. Especially when it comes to car customization. Have you ever seen a lime green wrapped Corvette? Its out there. Chrome wheels? Gigantic wings (e.g., C7 ZR1)? Sheep skin seat covers? All of these are turn-offs to a lot of people.
One reason I've always loved sports cars is that owners customize them. It makes them a kind of 'art form'. And that gigantic wing on the back? Well, in some situations, it really has a function.
Look on Amazon and the SED website (read the blogs) and you'll see LOTS of positive reviews for the door dog. These are owners who use it and like it. Did you read those comments and blogs before rendering your opinion? Or have you tried a door dog yourself? If not, then if you're just shooting insults and derision from the hip you may be doing yourself (and others) a disservice.
Stay classy my friends.
Just sayin'...

SD Dave ...
I take it you have something to do with Sandyeggo Designs (SD) located in San Diego.
