Just a heads up, orders must be in by June 28th to make the first air shipment over from Taiwan. There is no "limited number of spots" - if you have an order in by then, you WILL have a set of lights.
This first batch is coming via air opposed to some others which are bringing it over via sea (adds a few weeks to lead time).
Our pricing is not publicly posted due to it being lower than a contractually agreed minimum advertised price. This is not to put a burden on you or cause any confusion - this is because we want to give you the best price possible and cannot list it publicly without breaching a contract.
Morimoto designed these lights and initiated production with the manufacturing factory. All others are generic and may be built to lesser specs due to Morimoto's stringent quality control checks not applying to these.

My order has been placed. Now I can hardly wait until the UPS/FedEx truck arrives.

You will not find these Morimoto headlights listed below $1280 anywhere - this is by contract. But preorder pricing is indeed better priced than this - please PM to inquire. The deadline on preorders is June 28th! Coming up quickly!!
If you find a knock off listed cheaper, please PM over proof of price and I'd imagine we can get you converted to the name brand set at the same cost.
Remember these orders all ship FREE within the US!

Does anyone know of a good shop in the Chapel Hill, NC area that could install these?

I would imagine any kind of body or collision shop would be capable of installing these if you didn't want to do it yourself.

Agreed. I've heard a few estimates and it seems that the installation cost may range from $200-$400. I'm sure price will vary depending upon area, technique, and amount of shops overhead.

The sets offered here are Morimoto branded and have been put through stringent quality control checks (I'm not sure that the unbranded ones are or are not). These are stocked at a US distributor in the event that any warranty work is needed later (hopefully this never happens). The first Morimoto shipment is coming over via air which puts the eta at early-mid July whereas the other brand is coming by sea last I saw which will likely lead to an August arrival.
Discounted preorder prices are very competitive to theirs even though there is so much added value here.

It will be interesting to see if this is the case with the final production "programming" ... technically, if they are "DOT approved" the white DRL will have to go out when the turn signals are on given their proximity (I believe the rule is if they are within 3 inches of each other, the DRL has to be extinguished when the turn signal is on ... hence the rather odd behavior of most current Dodge products). Its not a deal breaker for me, but I would prefer the DRL goes off. Looking forward to receiving my set and playing with them.

So are you saying that Morimoto is not buying the exact same unbranded lights from the same factory in Taiwan and slapping their name on it?

It seems like that has to be the case. It's hard to imagine Morimoto releasing a design and it being copied exactly before they are even released.

I just want to understand what everyone is getting into here.

Curious to see how they got the DRL to work or half *** cutoff with the Amber turn . There are only 5 wires on the harness , I bet they either reversed or connected something.
