Default Installed J-F Customs leather

Finally got around to installing 2 of the leather pieces I purchased from J-F Customs - center console & console lid cover. The console lid cover was fairly easy to line up & glue down. The center console was a little more difficult with the various curves & cut outs. I had to do a little cutting/trimming on the center console piece & there wasn’t a lot of excess that could be wrapped around to the underside to glue down.

I still have to cover the radio bezel which appears to require a lot more cutting - I may attempt it tomorrow. Overall I’m happy with them - total cost shipped for these three pieces was $260. The quality is excellent. Now that I have them installed & ensured the stitching matches, I’m going to order the e-brake boot, e-brake handle & shifter boot.

My iphone camera is awful at picking up the orange thread, but it looks great in person.

I have the JF console and now considering the leather lid cover.

I currently have a DS Vettes padded leather console that is showing it's age.

Question: Did you put the leather cover over the stock, unpadded, lid? I want to put one on but want to keep the padding. I worry that the accent stitching wont line up properly if the lid is not stock thickness.

I peeled the stock leather off and installed this over the thin stock padding. I think it it would be too small if you have extra padding. However, email them and let them know & I’m sure they could make it bigger for you. I sent them pictures of my radio bezel because it is different than what they show for sale & they made me one that fit my specific bezel.

Looks great. You did a very nice install. That center console base is a beast to cover.

Great idea using wooden clothes pins to hold down the glued material.

In this day and age, you just don't see clothes pins anymore !

It was a bit of a pain, but I did it in sections to make sure it was lined up where it was supposed to be.

So I ran into a problem this morning trying to install the radio bezel section. It was made to cover the entire bezel, but then that prohibits the top & bottom sections from of the bezel from being separated for things such as swapping out the shift boot. I've sent them a message to see what the possible solutions are. Kinda bummed as I was hoping to get that on today & get the interior put back together.
