Question on body panel swap paint match.
Hi everyone. I just picked up an 05 convertible, black with red interior. The car was priced low due to some “interesting” body work on the rear trunk and bumper cover. The bumper cover had a spoiler at one point, and someone filled the holes poorly. For that, I want to put on a full length spoiler but I cannot find the width of the spoiler at the ends. The previous holes sit about 3 1/4 inches in from the edge of the bumper cover.
Will the RPI pre painted spoiler cover those holes (I emailed RPI and received no response) on the width.
The trunk has a round spider crack and some paint blemishes that indicate poor body work. I can buy a new factory painted black deck lid rather than mess with someone else’s bodywork. What are the odds of a decent paint match? I have heard black is the easiest and I don’t need perfection, this is a driver.
This forum is great btw. It has already helped so much.
