Default Mild to wild switch or pull the fuse?

I've been reading comments about the MTW switch for the muffler outlets. How is that better than pulling the 10 amp fuse in the fuse box ahead of the RH foot board? Or is it just easier for switching back & forth?

It's way easier and it's worth the money just for the fun factor.

I just pulled the fuse on mine. The way I drive I never hear any of the drone others have complained of, so I pulled the fuse two years ago and have been loving it ever since.

I pulled the fuse and blast music to drown out the drone.

I pulled the fuse on my '15 ZL1 and did the same as soon as I pulled into the driveway with my new to me GS this past Monday. If that qualifies as a mod - then its the only one I'm doing.

I have the M2W switch. For the price I think it is worth it. If you want to quiet the exhaust, you just press a button. My wife sometimes complains of the noise the rare few times she rides in the Vette and asks me to turn it off. Other than that my kids like to play with it by turning it on or off.

I never pulled the fuse on mine as I never had an issue with the exhaust sound. I bought the m2w remote version because it was inexpensive and after experiencing what the exhaust can sound like with the fuse disabled I now drive the car in loud mode 80% of the time.

There are times I don't want the loud exhaust note and I will occasionally switch modes on the fly. The m2w is perfect for me.

I’m in the same boat as you. My wife seldom rides in the Corvette. When she does, she hates the loud exhaust. So the M2W is perfect for me. Can have it loud (sweet music to my ears) or quiet when she is in the car. For the price, the M2W is well worth the money.

I put a simple on/off foot switch on mine. Much cheaper that the M2W kit, plus no remote to keep track of. I run it open most of the time, but it is nice to have the ability to cut out the drone on long highway runs.

For $25 you can make your own m2w switch.

eMylo DC 12V 1 Channel 433Mhz RF Wireless Relay Remote Control.
Add A Circuit Fuse Tap Piggy Back
break a fuse for the tap back in to the fuse block
Various heat shrink crimp connectors.

I use mine all the time. Flip it on when talking on the phone or long highway rides, off when i want engine music. Best of both worlds.

Love the switch. If you only show your car and never drive long distance, pulling the fuse is the way to go. But for long drives across country it is nice to quiet it down. Helps the fatigue factor after driving 9 hours.

Default Get the M2W!

Love the ability to switch it on and off. Long trips, as stated earlier, you will thank us... love the sound but sometimes it's nice to have some quiet.

It's an amazing difference, the factory exhaust note is just right whether you want to hear it or not.

What is so difficult in putting the fuse back in when you are going on a long highway trip once every few months? I pulled the fuse the 2nd day I owned my Corvette. I put the fuse back in one day to see the difference, but after two hours I couldn't stand how quiet it was. And I never noticed a drone when I am just cruising down the highway at a set speed.

Nothing "difficult" about it, I just don't want to do it. Much easier to punch a button on a remote.

Mild to wild all the way. When i bought mine used it had the kit but no remote and was in the loud (off) mode. After the 3 hour trip home I had a headache. The first thing I did was pickup a new kit. I daily drive and leave it on most of the time (quiet) with the occasional switch to off (loud) when I'm looking to be noticed.

I pulled my fuse almost immediately as well. I've had my vert on two cross country trips of 3k & 4k miles with the fuse out, and never noticed any drone. My next door neighbor who is an old school biker told me that he hears my car every time I start it up, just like I hear his Harley every time he starts it, and he says he loves the sound of my open NPP, even when I start it up at 5 AM on those days I take it to work.

For $60 to $70 you add the remote or button, then you have the option to turn it off or on, as many times as you want, in a second with almost zero effort. Sounds like an easy decision.

Default Mild to wild or any other switch is best

Like others my wife does not like the open setting on the performance exhaust. I currently have to mild to wild system (car came with it from previous owner) and it is nice to have the ability to switch it on and off at will. I had the simple fuseable switch installed on my last 2011 Grand Sport and it was less expensive and had the same advantages. I’d say do the simple mechanical switch to save the $.

I wish I had just pulled the fuse. I never use mild mode...
