Default Sold the C5 vert and searching for a C6 LS3.

Hey guys,
I sold my 2001 vert and I've just begun the search for a C6 convertible. I've decided to go with the LS3 engine, so it looks like it'll have to be a 2008 or later model. A couple of the features I want are the power top and satellite radio. I see that some C6 models have a video screen and some don't. Not interested in navigation since I use cell for that. Which version is favored (video screen or CD slot)? And why. Any other suggestions concerning what to watch for in searching for a nice C6 convertible would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Nolavette

As I just bought my C6 over a week ago, the audio package wasn't a big deciding factor when looking for mine. The screen system (which I do have) seems kind of dated now (compared to my '17 Honda Ridgeline) - I didn't care which one, I was more concerned with the condition and mileage....and of course price range too. You may want to post what your budget is as there may be fellow members looking to sell their Vert.

Edit to add: Just re-read your post and noticed that XM radio is one of your requirements. If so, I believe you will need the upgraded audio with the screen.

It took 5 months of diligent searching to find my 2012. Used searchtempest and cargurus. Found it on cargurus. Very happy so far.

Try a Google search for "Corvette 3LT package"; that info should help you out. Satellite radio became standard on all 'Vettes starting in 2008. The power top was not a free-standing option; it was part of the 3LT or the 4LT package. Navigation was available as a $1750 option on 3LT or 4LT equipped cars until 2012 when it became part of the package.

To be honest with you, the NAV system in the C6 is VERY dated and frustrating to use. The DVD's in the slot are expensive to purchase new maps and the phone is a lot more intuitive and easier to use. I had the factory NAV in one of my C6's and don't miss it one bit.

Get a Grand Sport. It’s a beautiful wide body design. You get most of the features of a Z06. I sold my 99 C5 to buy a brand new 2013 GS. Still love it after 5 years like its day one!

The video screen is the navigation, and it isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Its not great, but I mean, when it was introduced people thought the Zune was the next big thing.

That's exactly what I was thinking, so that for confirming my suspicions. The navigation graphics look fairly outdated in the photos I've seen. Google Maps and Waze work very well for me.

I have an 08 3LT with OEM navigation/screen. There is no way to connect your phone to the car audio system. If you get the stock radio, it does have a 3.5mm input jack, which would allow you to run a cable from the ear phone jack on your phone to the radio! I don't think the C6 had BT available until the 2012 model year.

To get XM radio you need at least a 2LT package.

I am looking for an LS3 C6 as well. The option packages as they relate to the interior are not that important to me, and I would actually prefer one with less options to avoid the NAV screen and the "leather" delamination issues with the 4LT wrapped interior
