Default Update: Limp Mode after accelerating quickly. Codes:P1516 & P2101.

Hi yall. Thanks for looking.

my C6 still goes into limp mode after mashing down on gas..otherwise it drives fine.

Per the forums suggestions heres what I've done:
*checked out for leaks in throttle body and intake manifold
*changed throttle body
*changed gas pedal
*disconnected battery over night...

so I'm beyond tired on this....I'm about to take it to the shop...

anything else I can try? Thanks

After you changed the TB did you have a reset done? My dealership charged $75 to do it. It will relearn as you drive but might take quite some time as it only does so under specific conditions.

Google it and you can find the instructions for a reset test drive. I could not get it to work so had the dealer reset it.

Update: Throttle Relearn procedure complete-no change in codes or Limp Mode

I've been focusing on the Harness that connects to the Throttle Body.....I will be replacing the harness and hope for the best.

Any input would be appreciated. thanks

Spray the connections with an electronics or similiar spray, cycle the conector 6x just dont clip it in final position. This may help get any corrosion cleared, spray agian then a final plug in.

Did you try the MAF swap?

When I changed my TB was having same problem. Turned out to be the MAF sensor, then needed the TB relearn. All back to normal now. All this from cleaning the TB.

Warning do not open the TB by hand.

The problems with the harness is that the wires break loose internally so just looking at them is not going to reveal anything. Wiggling each wire and feeling for that lack of resistance should indicated a broken wire.
Good luck, keeps us posted.
