Default How wide is full length spoiler

Hi,

i am am looking for the width of the full length spoiler. I am trying to cover a small blemish on my bumper cover that is 3 1/4 inches in from back edge of car. Will RPI pre painted cover this? I emailed them and received no response. (Not a promising sign)

Thanks! Any spoilers about 3” wide that do not sit too high? New C6 owner here.

You don't say where along the back edge of your rear bumper cover that you have the scratch (center area, Outer area?) .... but here are the widths of my ZR1 style rear spoiler:

Outer area. The ZR1 looks like a winner. Where did you get yours?

I purchased mine from a company called Extreme Online Store ... They sell through Ebay and Amazon, but it looks like they are out of stock now.

This spoiler is made of black colored hard ABS plastic and is made in China ... but the quality is very very good and it needs NO sanding, cutting or grinding in order to make it fit.

The cost was 169.99 with free shipping ... and comes with the required mounting hardware.

Here are some threads that have the details ...

Here’s a good comparison of GM full-length (bottom) & ZR1 extended.

You're welcome. My recommendation would be to purchase it & have it painted locally by a shop you trust. I paid $150 to have the extended spoiler painted & the shop stands behind their work for as long as own the car. They matched the color perfectly & didn't need to blend anything (spoiler was dropped off & painted). The same shop did my B92 Carbon Edition hood for $400 & had it done the same day I dropped it off - again perfect color match & lifetime guarantee.

I have the after market ZR1 style spoiler on my '05 vert. Prices start on ebay at around $150.00 unpainted.

The ZR1 spoiler looks really nice on your car..I have the full length spoiler on my GS, did you have to drill more holes for the spoiler to mount? Or use the existing holes that were there from the full length spoiler?

Thanks. The extended ZR1 spoiler used the outer-most holes from the GM full-length spoiler & the two holes in the center indent of the rear fascia.

I like the ZR1 spoiler but I am looking for one that doesn't need holes drilled. Anyone know who makes one?

Use the 2 center holes that are already there & 3M clear tape for the rest. Others have done it & had it hold up.

ANYBODY know why GM sold this over the counter/dealer installed straight top spoiler VS the dip in the middle ZR-1 spoiler....

and "Anybody" have real experience buying/installing either ZR1 or straight top from RPI designs.

As I stated above, my recommendation is to buy the spoiler primed & have it painted locally. The pre-painted items I’ve purchased have not had the same quality paint work as parts I’ve had painted locally. I’m debating sending some parts back now that I waited 6 weeks for that were not of the quality I expected. The vendor has agreed to fix it if I send them back but that’s a hassle & how long will I have to wait to get them back & will the quality be better the 2nd time? I had my body shop look at the parts & they said they couldn’t even buff them to try to remove the blemishes because the paint was too thin. I’m waiting on a painted shift **** that is going on 5 weeks & they said it might ship next week & then another week to get to me - that’s 8 weeks for a part advertised on their website.

JABCAT, Another member (Turbo6TA) showed me link where I could still buy Inferno Orange Ron Fellows Model spoiler from GMparts direct for $280 + $29 shipping ???

Do you have opinion of GM part that would come painted Inferno Orange

Emailing and talking with Paul at RPI designs about NOT them not shipping the repop ZR-1
spoiler Ive had on order for 5 weeks ( they are painting Inferno Orange) and paying RPI
a restocking FEE ???????

I had the GM spoiler on my car and it had the same paint quality as factory.

also search the parts for sale section for an inferno Orange full length spoiler. I know the guy that bought mine wanted to sell it.

Can you share the link for the GM spoiler?
