Default Help with part # for 2013 Grand Sport fender component

The exploded view of the fender for my 2013 Grand Sport shows part # 20882668 [ref picture # 8] as "Flare Extension - right." This is behind the wheel and acts as the factory mud guard - it is black plastic and flares out from the fender. I need the "flare" that goes on the right side in front of the wheel - also black plastic and flares out from the fender - but do not see it on any views that I have found. Please help.

I told my wife that within an hour of my post I would expect to have eight replies. Boy, did I jinx that. Anyone?

You should of included the picture. I'm not sure it's clear what part you are referring to.

That looks like the part number for a base. Try this number 15827792

Notice how part # 8 flare extension attaches to #6 rear fender liner. I am looking for the part that is not shown in the diagram that is the "front" version of #8 that attaches to part # 5 front fender liner.

Part 15827792 is for a base model not a Grand Sport. When I search for parts, I enter the VIN so that I see parts for my car as equipped.

what you want is number 5...………….. different for a wide bodied version than a base...……… I replaced mine a while back and it is the fender liners you are looking for, which is why I suggested contacting Gene or Patrick at Cultrag

There is no factory flare extension on the front (at the rear of the fender) for the wide body cars, only aftermarket.

The gurney flap in front of the wheel is, as I recall, part of the front liner.

#5 is the item that is in front of the wheel and sticks slightly out past the fender. There is no other item. That is it. 100% sure. You can even see the little lip on it drawn on the diagram.

There is no way this will fit on a base model, it does fit a Z06 and I thought it might fit a Grand Sport as well. I was just trying to help.

Sorry for my mistake. That part does not fit a Grand Sport but I should not have said it was for a base model. It could be for a ZO6 like you said.

Z06 and Grand Sport use the same part.

I input my grand sport's VIN on the parts site. Entering "15827792" and the site responds, This part does not fit your 2013 Chevrolet Corvette

Is this the part you need, the green arrow is pointing at it? If so, it is item #5 as Gene from Cultrag pointed out.

The part number on mine is 15834374.

The part your green arrow points to is the part I need. Thank you for providing that image which precisely indicated the part I am talking about. Gene Culley's post referred to ref #5 and on that diagram the part # shown is 15233300, so I am still consfused as to which part I need. My gut is to go with your part #, but then you agree with Culley which refers to the other part #.

The old part number may have changed. Contact Gene and he will make sure you get the correct part. I'm in the process of converting to wide body and got all my parts from Gene within the past month, I told him which body panels I had and he put together a kit of all the supporting parts I needed ~ a smooth painless procedure.

When I said it was #5, I was just looking at the # of the item on the diagram. Not the actual part number. BigBlok502 is correct...

But if you go and select the correct vehicle on our website.. down to the Grand Sport it shows the correct drawing with the correct numbers.

Because these sites aren't perfect so it's likely looking at your car as a base model...in which case it won't fit. The cars use the Exact same front bumper which is what the part bolts to.
