Oxford Maryland: Cars and Coffee
Had a good showing for the local cars and coffee this am. Usually a very strong Porsche showing, but pleasantly surprised to see 8 Corvettes show up.

First Saturday of the Month for Oxford, at the community center 9:00 - 11:00. 25-35 cars, 40 Saturday due to the nice weather. Really great deck bar and restaurant right around the bend called Doc's Sunset Grille. Very nice people..
Quite a few car collectors in the area. You never know what will show up. Talbot county is a popular retirement area.
Also there is one at the St. Michael's Car Museum ( they have a good web site) every Saturday same hours. A few more cars here and again you never know what will show up. Lots of sight seeing, shopping and good places to eat for making a road trip.

that would be something to see, not sure there are 800 cars in all of Oxford. It is a nice small friendly group. Quite a few people in this area have extravagant garages on barns with impressive collections, so you never know what will show up.

Very Nice!
My Dad's family is from Easton. Have a couple of cousins that live in Trappe. Dad was military and I can remember going to Oxford in the 60's & 70's when we went to Easton/Ocean City on vacation.

Live in Oxford and my office is in Easton, from Pittsburgh originally but really found a great place to live. Was out on the water this afternoon and caught some nice large crabs for dinner. .There is a really good Corvette show/weekend in Ocean City in October. Driving in the parade on the boardwalk makes for a great afternoon. 300 plus Corvettes.

Would be great to attend. I have some fond memories going to OC. I could imagine driving on the board walk. We always went down for the fire convention. My cousins were voluntary firemen in Trappe (plus the ambulance drivers). Where that "High's Gas Station" is on the corner of East Maple and HWY50 my Aunt (Dad's sister) and Uncle owned a Gulf Service Station and their house was on the north end and they built the house directly behind the station. We had many a crab boil there. A couple of my dad's brothers were with the Easton FD. Another Aunt was a meter made for City of Easton for 30 years. I can see why Talbot CO. would be a good place for retirement. Just don't get back up there that often. There was 9 brothers and sisters (my dad being the youngest) so I have a few relatives there that have history with the city.
