What battery do you have
I have a 2008 Manual c6 Corvette and the battery is bad and need to change it out. It was an AC Delco 90-6YR, but going to change to interstate at Costco or the maxxx battery over at Walmart. Which part number do you have on your batteries if you use interstate or from walmart?
Costco shows nothing but has interstate batteries and read alot of people use interstate but which one did you put in your c6?
There was on it was an H6 and it looks just like the ac delco battery as far as the posts go but it did not show the CCA but Amp hours of 60 and the H7 showed 70AH.

I just purchased my 2010 GS two weeks ago and it has the yellow top Optima. I’ve read a lot of good things about them but are very expensive. I read that one person got 10 years service from one.

Red top Optima for me. It was the recommended replacement for the OEM battery, and it matched the car.

I have the AC Delco 90-6YR and just had it checked by Batteries Plus. All cells are good, it's reporting 730 cranking amps (even though its only rated at 590?) And it's reading 12.75 volts....so I'll stick with it for now. I've bought the car two weeks ago and considered replacing it, but it still seems ok.

As others have posted here before, there are only what 2-3? battery manufacturers? So the "brand" doesn't mean too much.
Mine is four years old (don't remember the brand) is always on a maintainer, and checked as good as new when I load-tested it a few months ago.

Mine has an AC Delco that was new March this year, by the previous owner, bought it in June but when I need a new one it will be a Duralast. I have used those in boats, cars and trucks for years and find them to be excellent! Tim

Just get the Walmart battery. It's a common size, there are Walmarts everywhere, it's a little cheaper, made by Johnson, same as the Duralast. Has a decent warranty. Works fine in my ZR1.

I have the MT-85 Interstate in my car, which coincidentally is the same battery listed for my vette on Interstate's website. They also show specs for every other battery they make and both the H6 and H7 have 640 CCA, compared to 625 CCA for MT-85. The H6 is almost 2" longer than MT-85, and H7 is about 1.5" longer than H6.

Duralast Gold from AutoZone. Besides the OEM, also had an AC Delco and an Interstate. The Duralast is the longest lasting to date at almost four years and still going strong, all the others lasted less then three...the desert is a killer on batteries.

Replaced the OEM battery last year with an Interstate (MT85). Went to the local Interstate battery store, they tested the old one and replaced it with a new Interstate at no charge. Plugged in a gizmo under the dash so I never lost the XM stations and didn't have to reindex the windows.
I think total price with tax was $140.

Thanks everyone for your input, what was driving me nuts was the ac delco was the AC Delco 90-6YR and when i was at autozone they kept saying for the 08 was an 85 DLG and it looked completely different. Went to Walmart looked up the battery and they didn't "carry" the model either.. this is why it was driving me nuts and the Maxx T5 looked exactly like the AC Delco.
I looked up what battery is in the 09 corvette and it was the T5 one. So my 08 has an 09 battery in it which would have solved my problems at the beginning. I was just confused and wanted to make sure i was putting the right damn battery in my car. Thank you again to everyone who responded, i now have a fresh new battery that does not smell like rotten eggs anymore lol!

Actually, the cheapest batteries are at Home Depot, not Wal-Mart. I guess even Wal-Mart can't win the battle of the cheapest all the time. As for the Optimas, unless you plan on racing your car, stay away from them. They are inferior as far as supplying electrical power. The real reason to use Optimas is for impact resistance. Unless you plan on offroading or tracking your vette, they're ridiculously overpriced and under-performing. They were designed to be mounted non-vertically, thus the gel instead of regular acid. It doesn't make them better as a battery, in fact it makes them worse. What they have is superior impact resistance.
