Tire replacement on my new to me C6
I Just bought a C6 2008 Corvette. The previous owner upgraded the brakes. He then upgraded the wheels / tires to the specs below. I’m replacing the tires due to their age.
I’m looking for a non-run flat that has a good combination of ride / grip / wear (cost is also a factor). The car will not be tracked. Just a weekend driver on trips with my wife. What recommendation do you guys have. Thanks, Mark

At first I was going to say that there weren't many choices w/ 20" rears, but looking at discount tire the 285/30/20 has a wide variety. What's the widest you could go with the current set up? Could you move to a 305 in the rear?

Whatever the brand picked be darned sure to have 'factory' alignment corrected.
Factory alignment's set for racing, too much neg camber which will prematurely wear inside fronts if only street cruising.
To correct & prolong life w/ these expensive tires have alignment set to Pfadt 'Performance Street': http://www.pfadtracing.com/blog/wp-c...-9.12.2011.pdf
Won't be sorry & any change in handling's unnoticeable.

Michelin would always be my go to, but cost being a factor, they will be on the higher side of the spectrum. I would suggest going to tirerack.com, they will let you search by matched sets for two different (non-stock) tires sizes. My search returned 16 results ranging from $600-1500+ per set in your sizes. A lot of people on here like the Continentals and they are just under $1000. Once you find the ones you want, find the local installer you want to use. Most of the time they can special order and price match. Good luck!

Contenintal ExtremeContact Sport - $936
or
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S - $1,192
Those are Tirerack prices at your current sizes. Honestly I would stick with those sizes, the front is a slight bump in width but overall it's a good balance and lots of different tire offerings.
The Conti's may give a bit more longevity, but the Michelin's will probably offer a touch more performance. They both are very new compounds so that is good as well.

As noted by a couple of others, I also just went to the Conti's, replacing a set of Nitto Invo's. I don't feel much difference between the Conti's & the Nitto's, both IMHO are very good tires & much, much better than the original GY Supercars that came on my '05 Z51. Both the Conti's & Nitto's are non-RF & provide a much quieter & smoother ride than the GY's. I do carry a plug kit & small 12v air pump, but have never had to use them. Another big plus with the non-RF's is if you do get a puncture, it's a lot easier to repair than a RF.

I replaced my 10 year old Goodyear run flats today with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3s, non run flat, what a difference! Much quieter, better feedback and considerably softer ride. Highly recommend. Got them at Discount Tire.

Michelins for me, you get what you pay for & Michelin has a no question quality/performance reputation. Read the tire rack reviews for all of the tires that fit your car there

I just ordered a set of Michelin pilot super sort ZP (run flat) for my 07 last night to replace the GY. got a good deal at tire rack. should have them mounted by Friday. After reading all of the reviews it was an easy decision.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports, non-runflats. Or heck, any top-rated quiet high-speed tire. Most of 'em are pretty much circular & round. Probably.

I really loved my Nitto Invo tires on my convertible, and had Toyo T1S and T1Rs on my old 350Z that were awesome but seemed to wear out fast. Congrats on the new ride love the white!!
