It would take a serious redesign for me, something drastic along the lines of the 1990/91 change,.

I have owned 6 Corvettes. Had a beautiful 2011 C6 and traded it for a 2015 C7 Z51. Nice car and love the seats but didn't need all the bells and whistles. Drove it for a couple years and sold it to buy a 2013 C6 427 505HP Anniversary edition. Super low miles garage queen. Probably the best Corvette I have owned and my keeper. Just my 2 cents.

I never keep a vette less than 5 years and i drive them 5-7k miles/yr. I grabbed a 2015 Z last summer with 2500 miles on it. It was like brand new. I drive them because I always plan to get a new one 5+ years. So 2023+ I will be looking at the C8 Z06 to see if its worth doing for a good used one. I already like the A8, so the DCT will be welcome. Right now I am really enjoying my mildly modified/tuned C7Z. Honestly, I'm not loving the C8 look yet, but I also didn't love the C7 look when it first came out. My eye is used to seeing that long front snout, but now the C8 butt is longer than the snout.

That anyone would quote the NYT on today's economic outlook is almost unbelievable. Best-seller's, home prices, best recipes, best vacations, etc....they are trustworthy.

In relation to the glut of new/used C7's, there is no financial issue that would be any more challenging than anything else occurring between 2005 and 2013. The C6 never had the huge downturn in sales that the C7 is experiencing. More likely, buyer's remorse, or the aspect of first-time Vette owners, mostly younger, expecting a different experience from the car, or the appeal and improvement in competing cars, such as Mustang, Challenger, etc.

The intro of the C8 to the mix, at a very affordable price, is certainly causing a lot of anguish among C7 owners. Those folks thought they bought a Vette that would retain something close to the "newest thing" from GM for a lot of years, and it clearly will not. I personally know 2 C7 owners who have put their cars up for sale because the C8 is what they wanted the C7 to be (for them).

Lastly, after being a regular visitor, but not contributor, to the C7 forum, I can tell you straight up that there is TONS more love for their cars by C6 owners than there is for those owning C7's.
