Since this is a Corvette Forum the obvious answer is going to be yes...

Then again on the Camaro Forum the obvious answer will be no...

Choices!

What are you looking for in the vette? Are you looking to turn heads? Performance?

To other forum members points, the vette will turn more heads than an SS. Sitting so far back almost over the rear wheels you feel like you're in a cockpit. Do it, you won't regret it.

I agree, I thought my ZL1 looked awesome, and loved just about everything about the car. Problem is, 95% of the public can't tell the difference between a ZL1, a SS and a V6 rental car from Hertz or where ever. Corvettes always gets looks, compliments and waves. Just get ready for people to want to talk to you about your car at the gas station, grocery store, etc. People are drawn to them!

Do it. I just got my first c6 a few months back. You should definitely trade up.

I may be the voice of dissent here... How are the roads where you are? I find myself driving other vehicles rather than my C6 GS because it rubs everywhere. I would imagine that the Camaro sits higher. And yes - the Corvettes get a lot of looks, but the question is "how fun do you find driving the car?". I would rent a C6 (doesn't have to be a GS) and drive it for a few days and see how you like it compared to your Camaro. They are much different vehicles - with much different traits.Pick one that fits your preferences more.

I’ve had my 13GS over 5 years now with no signs of ever getting rid of it. I highly recommend it over a C7. You only get about 30 more HP with a C7 but your saddled with direct injection, cylinder deactivation and an ugly rear end. If you don’t get a manual the C7 8spd has been problematic in all GM vehicles including the Vette. The GS does not look dated with a nice set of modern wheels. No little boy will ever say “ is that a Camaro?” when he sees your GS from behind.

... you’ll become very unhappy with the C7. Ive had three friends dump the C7 for various reasons, one actually returned to a C5. The C6 is a wonderful daily driver, or hanger queen. Whatever your expectations it will deliver. Stay away from the early years, the 12 & 13 are the best years and the LS3 is a workhorse, it’s GMs most popular crate engine.

It you want a timeless body style and badassness then get the C6 Grand Sport.
the C7s are going away soon as they are an ugly design especially that *** end. Yuck.

I'm about 85% there....Two things I need to do with my Camaro, is one try to swap most of aftermarket parts for oem for two reasons...Trade in dealers like OEM and I could make a buck off the aftermarket parts on camaro5 forums or ebay...Also, I wouldn't want to see my same exact set up with someone else in the same town. Kind of like seeing your ex girlfriend out lol

Then I have to find a dealer to sell it to. Was thinking about kbb certified to avoid headaches through private

I pulled a lot of stuff off my C5 before I sold it.

I did well on the resale, hope you do as well.

Sell your Camaro, buy my 2013 Grand Sport. My build week for my 2019 GS is August 13. By the time the '19 gets to LA, it's mid/late September. Gives you plenty of time

All depends what your looking for. But consider:
1. Price point/Budget
2. Horse power
3. Comfort (having owned a 2011 Supersonic Blue Carbon Edition Z06, ALL C6 seats suck IMHO, spongy, non-supportive, and look like hell after 10K miles). Camaro seats are incredibly comfy and supportive.
4. Exclusivity/Collectibility (low production numbers cars like: ZR1, special edition C6 Z06/Z07, Z28, etc.)
5. Music (427 sounds are greatness)
6. Age of car

The saving grace of the GS is the Z06 wide-body - other than this, there's nothing truly special about a 430-436HP LS3 C6 GS. This is not to say a C6 GS is special to those who own one, which I do respect. However, the C6 Z06 LS7 is truly special.

Sold my 2011 Carbon Edition for 2015 Z28 housing the glorious 427 from factory and did an H/C/I 675 HP package and have enjoyed the living hell out every 11K problem free miles. If you decide on a C6, I'd go with a Z06 and swap for more supportive seats (perhaps Caravaggio). If you're really wanting/needing and auto, go with C7 Z06 or even C7 GS - which will out-handle a C6 GS in reverse. Also, people that bash the C7 Z06/GS are clueless in their analysis...incredible cars at incredible price points.

The BS meter is pegged with this one.

GS has all the Z06 goodies except the aluminum frame and the engine that likes to blow up on the track unless you fix the heads.

As for a C7 GS passing a C6 in reverse....another truly clueless statement.
