Lost FOB #1
2010 Corvette. I’ve lost FOB #1. I have FOB #2 and the trunk key.
If I’m reading the manual correctly. I can purchase a new GM FOB #1 part# 25926479 and I can follow the programming procedure (Programming with a Recognized Transmitter) to program this remote to function as the lost remote. Will this remote start the engine and work for personalization of the DIC? Is the only thing I would need to get done is have the new key cut to open the trunk?
Thanks in advance.

The new fob will be #3 as far as the car is concerned. It will work but no options will be available. You will need to do the long procedure to have it be #1 and will need to program #2 again at the same time.

So I use the procedure (Programming without a Recognized Transmitter) where I put the key in the cylinder above the license plate and turn 5 times in 5 seconds and continue with instructions?
Thanks again for the quick response.

If you can find someone that has a tech II, it only take a min since you don't have to do the long procedure that you have to do with the key, not have to wait out the clock like when you use the key, since you can program a new replacement fob one shot into any of the 4 slot instantly instead.
