Convert top problem - deck won't release
Auto top feature, deck behind seats will not open when button depressed. 2011 purchased used in 2013 with 5K. Now with 18K and top rarely lowered during my ownership. Any ideas before it goes to the dealer?

Did you check that the trunk partition is secured properly? May have gotten jostled when/if placing items in trunk. Also, double check window indexing; top won't operate if the windows do not index. My top would not work after I had the headlamp recall done. When they put the fuse panel back in, somehow the fuse for the top was not fully plugged in. That was an easy fix.

^^ I had the fuse thing happen too when I first bought the car. Simply re-set them and everything worked. Only 5,000 miles. Maybe too much sitting? I did the window indexing as well but I don't think that was the issue. Rear partition is important as stated. Good luck!

YES Tony327, I did it all.
So today I did a detailed "watch" at what was happening.
Engine running, indexed windows, and checked trunk partition.
Manually released the control over the rearview mirror.
Depressed the top-down button.
Rear part of top began to swing up, like its supposed to, BUT began struggling at the half way position and would not pull it all the way up.
I manually pulled it up, but hatch did not release.
Then pressed the top-up button and had to manually help the top go back.
Guess it's time for the dealer.

A few other things you can try before rolling the dice with a GM Dealer.
There are 4 fuses for the top, located in the passenger foot-well fuse box. Check your Owner's Manual. (pic-1)
The 3 you need to check are:
"TPA"- Tonneau Pulldown Actuator
And 2 Labled "TONNEAU RELSE"- Tonneau Release
You also need to make sure the pressure relief valve on the hydraulic pump is tightened all the way down. (pic-2)
These are all easy DIY 'adventures'.
