C6 License plate
Okay-I have one chance at the MVA to get my vanity plate right in MD and 7 number or letter combos.WE probably cannot say the 7 words you cannot say on TV (thank you George Carlin) or mention female body parts (she has nice ....hair) but being the bold and inventive peolple we are, the world is our oyster. What do I like? Sex, drugs, rock amd roll-well, okay, went to college in the 60's but NEVER did drugs.Yeah, yeah, what a square, B.S. Engineering Univ of Illinois class of '69 and MBA ASU '73 Got lots of guns, a few pickup trucks and a farm, plus a hot first wife of 47 yrs, (met her in my first corvette in college), but being a gentleman I can;t tell any more, i love STARTREK-getting the grandkids hooked now on Capt. Kirk et al.Got some motorcycles too but this is getting afar from my 2006 C6- 400HP 400 Ft. lbs. torque 6-speed 0-60 in 6 milli-seconds,.(a mild exergeration(sp) etc. There will be a prize for the best license if i use it-think modest prize. My C6 is Victory Red and a coupe. I am 6'2' and 230# and go by Dick.I am on vacation for the next 10 days in the north woods and hope everyone's creative juices can flow.
Thanks for you time.

Gents-thank you all for your ideas. Lots of good ones. So I was siiting on a dock up in the north woods of WIsconsin, a cold one in my left hand and pen and paper in my right (analog especially near water) and I came up with about
30 possibilities. Some of the same ones suggested here plus others-e.g., STRSHIP, 1RIKER , lots of variations on corvette plus one of my favs-VETDREM. Given my exalted position in our family (if my wife says it's okay) I played with
CPTKIRK and JEANLUC but i struggled with the latter because he is short, bald and lets the bad guys beat the crap out of his ship and crew before he responds. But we already have barn cats named CPT KIRK and MR SPOCK so I was hoping for a modest amount of
difference. It was fun because I could play with guns and ammo, cars, Startrek, women, Startrek women (here's looking at you 7 of 9), etc. As an aside, My wife and I are watching a DVD of the 4th season of Voyager now and were just re-introduced to Jeri Ryan....
MD now allows you to do vanity plates online instead of waiting in line at the DMV to try your 3 choices and then move to the back of the line when those choices fail. Wow, real progress. As another aside, the guy I bought the car from, a friend and Trekkie, had the dashboard readout say " WELCOME NUMBER ONE" upon entering. I like that so I won't change it. My first online try was NCC1701 but as I expected, it was long gone. Had half a dozen ideas for my second choice and went with ENGAGE and, son of a gun, got it. That will go nicely with my wife's plates STR TRK. 'Wonder how many people will get my back window sticker "Ferengi School of Business" ? Thanks again to everyone for all the ideas. For you easterners, don't forget Corvettes at Carlyle next Fri., Sat. and Sunday.

I've never understood vanity plates. Who reads them? Nobody except other people who have vanity plates. Or if I'm behind someone and I happen to look at their plate (which I don't do very often).
The message usually is not self-evident. It must be dissected and then re-figured, usually with a number (8) mixed in somewhere. I don't want to waste brain cells figuring it out; I don't have that many left. The five or ten seconds I stare at one I want back, but I can't get it back. I've got more productive things to think about. So that's what I do. Daydreaming is more productive.
I hope nobody complains about their extra cost. You are CHOOSING to give the DMV more money than they require. The required amount is insulting enough, I sure as hell am not going to "donate" more.
But, carry on.
