cheap wide body kits on ebay?
Hey guys...this guy on ebay is a new seller (out of florida) and has very cheap wide body kits that he claims "fit perfectly". he says he's popular in the C6 forums but i cant find anything...
anybody familiar with this product?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/C6-Corvette...4383.l4275.c10
With that said...I am a believer in getting what you paid for but "what if?!?!" it's not a project high on my list but if the quality was there then the price is def right

YES! i just updated my post the same time you responded haha...i'm just curious if he's trying to play a game and using the forums to spring board him. i contacted him and he keeps claiming he's all the rage. selling parts for high end luxury cars. I don't want people getting duped...that is, if he's just another scammer. He doesn't mention his company name so i'm unable to google his business and see what he sells.

It wont just bolt right on and be perfect . 100% of the time it'll needs to go to a good body shop for some shaving , trimming adjusting to make it look decent. Goodluck.

There is always the "what if" so i thought i would ask the community since he says hes "blowing up" as a result of the C6 Forums.

why wouldnt he not mention his co name.
That alone would make me run from him lol
ask him what his screen name is on other forums
get a phone number. Call him. You can request his information through eBay

Strike 1 : It's fiberglass , not polyurethane, so bet on some major work needed. The last C6 I had done , I bought original GM parts and they were Polyurethane.
Strike 2: he Says "some" C6 forum.
Strike 3: he said he read a post on some C6 forum about his product, not that he was a member or a vendor.
RUN!!!!

Exactly
well anyways if he was all the rage in the forums, people would have said something by now. i guess i will just forget about this product. if he is legit and builds a name for himself thats great but for now i'm going to keep on walking.
thanks everybody for their time to chime in.

Thats a good point, thanks for the input! i will make note of that.
when i was giving serious thought of a kit i was only going to consider Gm parts but i dont want to spend the money for parts, paint and wheels so that project is put on the back burner for a while...i'm pretty darn happy with my car the way it is (although dang the wide body looks great).

I have seen another ad by this same seller for a restomod body for $7000.00 claims a complete body for a C1 to fit on a c4 or even an elcamino chassis just tell us what you have and we will build it to fit. . Check out craigslist Tampa Bay item 6645498021. I live in the area and have not had any dealings with this individual. there is a contact phone number listed on craigslist with a 727 area code which is not for the Crystal River area.. I know most of the hot rod and corvette shops around the west coast of Florida and this is one I have not had any contact with. Review all the pictures on the craigslist ad and draw your own thoughts. Could be a very good supplier but who knows. Hope this helps

Looks to only be the two rear quarter panels. To that you still need to add stuff like the rear brake ducts, brake duct trim, etc. Personally I get suspicious when someone that supposedly sells to "high end" buyers can't write a sentence or spell and wants to disparage other businesses as well...
NOTE: Just because others have a fancy Website, or fancy pictures Don't mean your going to get a High quality part!!!! Trust us, we had many customers say they purchased parts off some company with a website and got Garbage parts!

There are as many red flags here as quotation marks in his ad. I would love to have a really good and affordable source for a widebody kit. Somebody should go for it and post results, but it wont be me. Good thread by the way.

Just go buy a wide body if that's what you want, I bet this guy is selling junk ( you get what you pay for )

I just returned a front splitter to the company you posted about. The only way it was going to fit, even after baking in the sun for several hours was major modification or if my Vette somehow magically became 6 inches wider. I've ordered from a different company after assurances that theirs is not the same as the other companys. I will update once I receive it.
