Alan Jackson's corvette
Hi all, just purchased my first ever corvette (hopefully not my last) been told the first owner may of been Country music singer Alan Jackson. Does anyone know if he's a corvette fan? Carfax shows it was sold out of walkers chevrolet in Tennessee. If it is in deed true does this increase the cars value? should I hang onto it if so?

Definitely worth more than Jon Voight's LeBaron convertible.

Cool to know but it won't make it any more valuable. We have a guy in our club that has a C5 that David Nelson had owned.

After being to more then a few Barrette-Jackson auctions where 'celebrity' vehicles have been auctioned and reading about how much those of others have gone for, I've learned a couple of things. First and for most, you need to have undisputed proof said celebrity owned the vehicle (pictures of them with it, a copy of an old title or registration with their name, a vehicle history report showing they owned it at some point, etc.) before it means anything to anybody. Second, unless is was owned by a huge celebrity with an enormously large fan base, the car may go for a few dollars more if you can find the right fan. The only exception to this I've seen is when a celebrity has put their vehicles up for auction and the proceeds went to a charity..in those cases, all bets are off, people bid higher when it's for a charity. Vehicles owned by extremely popular celebrities who, for lack of words, have a fanatical fan base may bring a little more, if they (the celebrity) were/are a car/speed enthusiast as well, so much the better; a few examples would be vehicles owned by Elvis Presley, Paul Newman, Richard Petty Sr., etc. I bet even a vehicle owned by Jay Leno or Tim Allen, both known vehicle enthusiasts/collectors as well as being stars, would go for a few dollars over current market.
