Thoughts on value of this vette
I am new to this section. I own a C2 so I usually hang there. I’m looking at a 2012 Grand Sport 3lt Centennial Edition. It has 11k on the clock, magnetic ride control, npp exhaust. Some cosmetic upgrades like Xpel ultimate coating on entire front, ZR1 style splitter and side skirts, Oracle ghosted side markers, ceramic coated 1 3/4 American racing headers, and ceramic coated 3 inch catless mid-pipe. Check out the pics and let me know what you think this car is worth. Anything I should be on the look-out for?
Thanks in advance for feedback.

I’d say around $35-38k. Also not a fan of the wheels. The Centennial Edition was just a $5k appearance package & was the most popular ‘12 Grand Sport with more made than any other color so don’t buy the “rare” claim.

Yes, the wheels suck, but it is otherwise beautiful. I have a base CE Vette, and get great comments all the time. Everyone seems to love what Chevy did with the CE option. I would say $36K, but no more. When you get to $40K, you are well into C7 territory. Granted, it won't get you as nice a car, but it will get you the next gen, which is more attractive to a lot of buyers.
The blackout markers look great. I did mine in Plasti-dip, and love 'em. I also did blackout tails, which really changes the appearance for the better, IMO.
If you buy it, you will love it.

He’s also a forum member and has it listed in the for sale section so let’s not be too harsh. But yes, I do agree it is overpriced for a GS. I would say $37-40k to someone who really wanted it and needed a well taken care of CE. But that is tops, IMO. The wheels are not for me but the car looks great overall and well cared for. Unfortunately you don’t really get your money back on mods, and I think the owner is factoring in the mods into the selling price.

Plenty of C7's in the low $40's & like I said the CE is just an appearance pkg. Last year when I bought my GS I found a '13 Inferno Orange with only 15k miles and the dealership was asking $40k & that was 1 of only 69 made in that color (factor in less with the M6). I didn't go for it because I got my '12 Inferno Orange with 29k mi for $33.7k. Consider there were 1,040 CE GS coupes produced.

Lots of opinions but yours is the only one that counts, you are doing your due diligence so then make up your own mind. I wouldn't pass if this is the one Corvette you want over a few thousand bucks thou, in a years time you'll forget about it anyway
Good Luck

Whether he’s a forum member or not, there are many appraisal tools to give an accurate valuation. So he must not want to sell that quick (or at all) with the crazy pricing. Another couple Grand & you can get a low mileage ZR1 & there’s no choice comparing those 2. It’s a very nice GS, but someone needs to take all emotion out of the equation & be realistic.
