SSWEET........have you had any problem with the dark chrome peeling? A salesman at a wheel shop told me that dark, or Black chrome peels easily, that's why you don't see it often.
The black wheels looks good with yellow. I don't think black works with every color, but with yellow it works for me. Your current wheels look good too btw.
The new wheels won't be in for a month........I will sell the old wheels at a very reasonable price, probably like 200 for all 4. They are polished and in very good shape.

These are permachrome. It's a powder coat process. Not supposed to pit or peel like a normal chrome process. Had these on the car for 4 years now. No pitting or peeling so far.
I like the look of Black wheels when done with some type of contrast with the whole car. Here was my first attempt back in the early 90's
Then my first Corvette! Made sure there was some contrast with the yellow.
Next will be a C6 GS in White with Black Chrome. Hopefully soon.
Just not a Convertible.

Just a few years ago I HATED Black wheels. As things happen to change in life I turned into a Black believer. It will get all of you sooner or later.
Black wheels on the velocity yellow is one of the few combinations that black wheels look good to me. Yesterday watched a coworker drive a black Camaro with black wheels through the parking lot. The wheels just looked like part of the tire, like it was all just cheap plastic. Fugly.

LOL....And sorry, but it ain't never gonna get me. Black wheels may have their place.....Trucks.....Rat Rods.....Pinto's.....Yugo's....etc....et c. And while some may look somewhat decent on some regular cars......they will NEVER....EVER.....look better, esp. on a C-6 Corvette than a nice chrome or polished aluminum wheel......thats just the way that it is........

I have chrome wheels on my 2013 Velocity Yellow convertible. Absolutely love the look. My friend and neighbor had a 2014 Velocity Yellow with black wheels. All of our neighbors said they liked the chrome wheels on my Velocity Yellow C6 and did not like the black wheels on the Velocity Yellow C7. My friend was deflated. I never liked black wheels on any car but each to their own.
I didn't like black wheels either, but it has grown on me so much that I ordered gloss black instead of black chrome. Get them next week. Thanks for all the replies......
