Do you have the actuating exhaust? You can pull the #12 fuse which leaves them in the open position. I did that and was not satisfied, so I bought B & B Bullets without mufflers and it sounds perfect to me!!

The fuse only works if you have the NPP factory exhaust. Otherwise you will need to replace the axle-back exhaust system. If you have a non-NPP system, you can look for someone who removed an NPP system from their vehicle and are looking to sell it cheap. Short of that, you will need to buy an after market system. Prices vary depending on what you want.

Retired & lovin' it!
If you want to go "old school" & really cheap, get yourself a 2 1/2" black pipe nipple about 3" long & a black pipe cap to fit. Cut a circular hole in the header pipes forward of the cats & weld the nipple in place. With the caps in place, the exhaust will be quiet....with the caps removed, you'll have an open exhaust....or drill different size hole in the cap to get different loudness form the exhaust. :-)

Well cheapest?
If DIY, cut open you current muffler, modify the innards and reweld closed. $10.
Do a search, enlarge the baffle holes, remove the sound deadening.
At a shop?
Probably replace current mufflers with Magnaflow mufflers $500.
Or poke a hole or two in your current mufflers with a hammer and screwdriver $Free.
Need more info on OP desires. Magnaflow may be the answer looking for?

This probably goes for anything that is not Corsa exhaust systems, right ?
I'm guessing even Magnaflow would have drone according to JRose7004.
I am still looking for a cheaper alternative myself for a Corsa Sport cat-back system. It's like $1,800+ which doesn't even include installation prices.

Check the thread about modified exhaust. Basically, cut a 1" hole in each muff, pull out some 'glass, pop a 1" snap-in cap in the hole. It will not drone. If you want more sound, pull out the cap, remove more 'glass. Rinse, Repeat, until you get what you want.

Do the 'bypass'. Install a small pipe between the large input pipe the muffler and the smaller adjacent output pipe. Works perfectly for a little more sound when on the gas. No drone. There plenty on info on the forum regarding this mod.

Upgrading to a quality set of mufflers has been a tried an true way to improve sound on a budget. You're looking at maybe ~$350 installed by your local muffler shop, depending on what size you go with. If we can offer any help, feel free to send us a PM!
