maybe it's because "Z/51" sounds too similar to "Z/28" that people think about these badges.
if you want to do apply them, go for it.
but would you then also want to add an "NPP", or "J55", or any other option badge code available?

I wouldn’t put them on my car, but it’s YOUR car. Do what you like. I’ve seen lots of mods that people do that aren’t for me, but if they like them, no biggie.

Of course this is coming from someone who put, on my front fenders, metal cross flag emblems that originally came on 65 Novas.
Can't imagine how much I would get bashed for bringing that up on this forum. Oh Sh*t!!

i agree with it not being a model ( Z51 ). if my memory serves me correctly, the "Z" is normally a performance
or luxury package of some type. although some of these did actually make to a model designation ( i.e. Z06, Z/28, Z/71, Z/24 ).
I believe that the Z/26 package was the old Camaro rally sport option code ( again, memory only ).
of course their was the "TYPE LT" badging on the 2nd gen Camaros, though not sure if was an actual model.
or luxury package of some type. although some of these did actually make to a model designation ( i.e. Z06, Z/28, Z/71, Z/24 ).

The side of my C6 Z51 Corvette looks pretty plain with nothing to contrast against the silver.. What do you guys think of the aftermarket Z51 emblems to give it a little snap.. I was thinking of black emblems that are like the the Zo6 emblems and about the same size.. In your opinion would this look ok, or would it look stupid?..Thanks... WW

Go for it - if I find some I like I'll add them to my too - I already have a windshield banner and fender stripes - I add these things to all my Vettes so they will stand out in a parking lot of Vettes and I enjoy the looks and comments from the non-corvette owners - all positive.

The Z-51 is a RPO (Regular Production Order) designation and not a model of Corvette like the Z-06. Even the Z-06 is an RPO designation also Chevrolet designated it a separate and distinct model for Corvette, Z-51 is not. Pease no stick on badges.
