Hello, im new to the corvette community having just bought a 2009 C6, I noticed that when i press the down button on the A/C it will go down to the lowest setting but it won't turn off. Does anyone know if this is standard and im just missing how to turn it off or could this be a defect?

And not to sound like a smart a$$... After you push the temp button, read your owners manual front to back.

i would, but the car didn't come with one. currently in the process of printing out a PDF version

Glad you brought this up. I've never known how to shut mine off either. And of course I never thought to look at the manual.

Pushing the temp buttons in will turn off the controller all the way (blank screen when it off). Hence you can push the left hand temp button inward for a single push to turn both sides off, or you can just push the right hand button to turn the controller off for that side alone. Another push of the buttons will turn the controller back on.

If you want to turn off just A/C from coming on, the third button from the left on the bottom that has the snow flake with slash line through it.
When you push that button, it will have a slash line through the A/C snowflake between the left temp number and the fan bars to show you have the A/C itself turned off in the display screen, and if you push the button again, slash line icon in the display screen will go away and the A/C is back on.
