Mr.owc6 ran over a box spring!
Yes!
That's what happened!
Surprisingly, no real damage. The air dam was broken, and there is some spider crazing on the DS bumper directly under the headlight. The plate was deformed, and a little paint was scraped. Thank goodness, there was no tire damage.
Who knew Bertha was that tough?

Mrs. Ow (Lisa) ... Just gotta ask
Does Mr. Ow ever post here ... or only you?
The reason I ask is that I have seen many posts by you, but I can't remember your husband (Mr. Ow) ever posting here.

No, he never posts. He thinks we are , well not stupid, but close to such. He doesn't underestand this talking to each other about the cars.
This was his first day back on the job up here and had to drive in . he was very lucky!
He drives the car, but that's about it.
He never used to drive any of the three. I put virtually all the miles on the cars. He's been driving Bertha a couple of days a week for the last few years.

Yes, the only "enthusiast"
He likes them just fine, but nowhere near my level.
But anyway, I'm surprised there was no "real" damage to driving over something that was hard, and twice as tall as the clearance of the car.

So you survived the storm OK?
But the hubby got "distracted" while driving. Did you ask what he was looking at?

Been there with my Nissan 720 pickup years back. Friggin box spring then caught on my rear bumper and looked really strange going down the highway at 55 mph. A half mile up the road I passed the station wagon on the side of the road with bedding still lashed on top of it and the occupants outside retying the twine they were using on the Clampett rig. They looked and pointed as I drove by.
