very nice setup! That is some of the cleanest concrete I’ve ever seen. You seal it or anything ? Looks almost untouched.

These garages are magnificent... but where are the grand kids swimming pool left over from the summer... the weed eaters and lawn mowers not to mention the left over boards and paint cans from the deck rebuilt last summer?

I know that I shouldn't reading this kind of articles. haven't had a garage for about 5 years now.
all I have now is carport. I do miss having one, but sometimes life gets in the way.
jealous, but also happy to see other peoples set-ups.
all looks good!

[QUOTE=Bowtie Jim;1598034073]
New drywall on two walls and a fresh coat of paint on everything.
/QUOTE]
Well this turning out to be a bigger project than I originally planned.
I ended up putting some more polystyrene insulation on the walls and drywall on all four walls and the rest of the ceiling that was never done.
So now it basically has all new drywall that now I need to get mudding on. Plus another R 10 of insulation. My garage is a tuck under so it's already fairly well insulated now it should be toasty in the dead of winter here in Minnesota.
20 below nights are a dime a dozen around here so you can never have enough R value in my book. The low tonite here is 28 so it's coming soon so I want to get this done asap
As soon as I get it taped and mudded up I will post up a few pics. Weekend is here so I'm working on it 7am to midnight the next two days.

Don’t forget a fridge and TV. Trust me.

edit: If your budget allows, a separate bathroom.

I have a half-bath in my 6 car garage. It is invaluable, especially when car friends are over. 50" TV, but missing the fridge. The bathroom is actually meant for the pool. It has two doors and can be accessed either from my garage or the back yard. Originally meant for pool parties so people didn't need to run into the house for a bathroom, but it mostly gets used from the garage side.

While I think it would be cool to have a lift, I don't see the practicality of it.

It really depends on the extent of your hobby. I built a complete FFR Cobra on my lift. Without the lift I would have spent hundreds of hours on my back on the concrete, with the chassis on jackstands. The lift was so versatile, I was able to remove and install the body onto the chassis by myself, no helper. That was just the start. I've done major and minor work on all four of my cars; work that would not have been possible on jackstands.

If plans are to change oil and check tire air pressure, I agree, not very practical.

Very clever way to install the body.

I would really only use a lift if I was 1) building a kit car (plans are in the works) or 2) installing numerous mods or performing repairs. I feel like I wouldn't get much use out of it after the initial work.

Yep. When you're bringing home a new baby, gotta at least paint the room.

Update
Got all my drywall done ceilings painted and the walls are primered. I'm installing the new LED lights today and trimming it out tonight and tomorrow
then I'm going to paint the walls a light gray all the trim will be a little bit darker gray so that got me thinking about the floor. I'm leaning towards Rust-Oleum Rock Solid. Seems like the best DIY for the money. Anyone ever use this stuff? Let's see some pics of your floor coatings and what you used.
BTW those are some sweet garage setups thanks guys

Here's my little car and a half detached garage. I painted the walls a light grey and looks great with the floor. The floor coating is called Sparta-flex. Looks like epoxy poly-urethane.

I think I have the same tile, mine has been down for 3 years and also still looks new. I have a lift and a truck parked on it as well with no issues.

Has anyone used anything thing like the Nitro Rolls for floor covering?
