Water Damage
I received my Vette in July and midway through August I decided to take out the headlights to replace the lenses so the car has been sitting in the driveway for about 6 weeks. I finished the lenses replacement and was getting ready to install them back in and that when I noticed that here was mold everywhere in the car. I called my detailer over to check out and he found that the floor board actually had water puddled up in the floor board under the carpet. So here is my question. How does the floor board fill with water when the car hasn't been started since mid August? I even had to get another battery due to it sitting so long. It also has been raining alot in my region for the last month or so. But how would rain water get in if that's what it is? It is definitely not heater core issues. Any insight to this issue would be greatly appreciated and on the upside I may be getting the whole interior dash included brand new but don't want it to happen again

Melting Slicks
Could be a bad targa top seal, pop the top and check for any signs of water stains. If there were strong winds while it was raining, this would increase the chances of rain being 'forced' through bad/weak seals.

If I read your post correctly, you said your car has been sitting outside for six weeks with the headlights removed?
That's my first guess. Water got in because the car was never designed to sit in the weather with a couple of gaping holes in it. It doesn't take much to have water infiltrate something.

The headlight cavity is completely open with the fenders detached as you see in the pic the headlight socket doesn't hold any water

Just because the cavity doesn't pool water doesn't mean that no water got into a place (that it was never meant to be) and travelled elsewhere. Judging from the pic of your driveway, it is ever so slightly nose up (if parked as in the pic), so that ever so slightly would be enough for water to trickle down and into the interior.
Water is a weird thing. Ever try to determine where exactly a leak is in a house roof? It could be on the opposite side from where the leak emerges inside. Water won't necessarily go straight down. It always goes sideway for at least awhile.

We talked about this on here before-a few years ago. Check the upper left corner of your rear window on the driver's side. Most people don't ever notice it, but on a lot of the C6s, there is a gap between the glass and the molding. I showed mine on here once. It's about a 1/4 inch gap on my 05. And I've seen them sitting in the showroom floor that way.

Not a great place to park it with the water running off the garage roof right into the car.
