Default '05 HVAC Dash Vents

While the AC is on and both the driver and passenger temp. controls are sync'd and I hit a bump in the road the driver's side dash vents start pushing out HOT air while the passenger stays cold. Hit another bump the drivers side goes cold, bump hot, bump cold........and so on till we get home. The dealer thinks it might be the actuator and wants to take the dash apart and replace the actuator hoping that's the solution. I'm wondering if it's a vac hose running from the intake manifold??

Does anybody know the position of the actuator door when the car is not running - open for heat, open for AC or ?

Thanks!

Go to love this, since of the opts here figure out how to change the actuator, without having to pull the dash.
