If you have a sony camera, this is the same cable that is used to down load the photo's from your camera to computer.

Yes, there is something very special about updating. You need to purchase the "Updater" device for an additional $59.
This is NOT included with the RP5-GM11. Mine works fine, so I will not be updating it.

UPDATE PORT (not USB):

Has anyone tried using this updater? Are the RP5-GM11 that are now shipping not on the newest firmware?

Has anyone had problems with their windows not going up when you close the door? This started happening now that I am replacing the radio.

If you had battery unhooked, you need to reindex the windows.

Have you tried to re-index the windows. If you disconnected the battery during your install you probably need to index them. Real simple to do, just get in the car and close the door. Close the window all the way. After you have the window closed, use the switch to try and raise the window again but this tie hold it for 3-5 seconds and then let go. They should be reset after that.

Pac Audio RP4-GM11 does not retain OnStar. The RP5-GM11 has the ability to retain OnStar if you choose. Both will work with a C6.

will this also work? or should i just go for PAC RP5-GM31 - they are all about the same money

You can use the Crux interface you mentioned if you want a cheaper alternative. The RP5-GM31 is not for a C6 Corvette.

I've up-dated mine using the PAC Up up-dating module.
