Looking at a 2005 base corvette auto yellow
I am looking at a Yellow base 2005 with auto and 59,000 miles. It appears to have been well cared for and has had 5 owners, clean car-fax.
Owner tells me from time to time the right rear low tire light comes on and has not found out why.
He is wanting 18,000 for the car.
thoughts
thanks

Jerry it's because his TMPS are old, I have 05 and last year had them on all replaced, kept getting false reading of low pressure.
They work on batteries which don't last forever, so if one is giving troubles the rest is not to far behind.
I have 2005, wouldn't trade, runs great with no problems, and lot of fun driving.
I would for the price, I think is about fair, but make him replace all the tire sensors or lower the price, and do google for this part, you will find all kinds of prices they aren't cheap, and most dealerships and tire stores charge $25.00 per wheel to replace them.
I also would get it checked out a dealership for 1 hour to give a car to be sure there isn't any hidden problems.

The low tire light is probably just old TPMS batteries.
Get an Autocheck and go to the dealer and ask the service dept. to print out the VIS and build sheet as additional tools to help with the decision making. Ask to put it on a lift so you can check dampness underneath and check the harmonic balancer for wobble.
Work your magic on a final price.
