Default Insurance question

I have found a 2012 Grand Sport 2LT 6m. It is at a dealer but the price is close to right. My problem is insurance, I have State Farm for everything else, house 2015 Tahoe and 2014 Silverado. They want 1K every 6mo for the same coverage I currently have on the other two vehicles, they will happily cover me. I do not have a garage, hence the problem. Any of you guys that don't have a garage have any ideas. I have tried a bunch of companies but no garage no insurance.
I can't get past paying 2K a year for a car i only drive 4000mi a year.

Thanks

Other than when I had hagerty for collector vehicles, I’ve never had an insurance company ask about a garage.

What do you pay for the two trucks?

New Orleans burbs. second highest insurance rates in the country.
2800$ for Tahoe and Silverado full coverage.
I am 62yr old.

The Corvette museum said no garage no insurance. Grundy said "well" we would have to send an adjuster out to check out your carport, but I don't think it will work ( guy on the phone).

Find a independent insurance agent who has multiple companies to quote you from.

You also don't mention your driving record....clean with not tickets?

Me neither, although the Vette is stored inside.

FWIW: I'm paying right around $1,000 annually for the Vette and a 2017 truck through Travelers.

I also have State Farm for my home, California earthquake and three other cars on policy. I also carry a $1 million rider on my insurance. My '13 Grand Sport M6 has full coverage for $81 per month, with a limit of 7000 miles per year. I'm 70 years old with a clean driving record.

I am paying about $1,100/year on my '06 through AAA. I only have a carport. I have the mileage at 6,000 miles/year, which I believe is as low a AAA goes.

Do what the illegals do one set of plates for the whole clan! This insurance is a rip off you better have stated value and read the policy because if they can find parts they will slap them on! And i do not mean N.O.S.

I am with Farmers Insurance and have storage insurance. Which means that while not driving I only have comp with a $500 deductible. When I get ready to drive I send a text to put full coverage on, then on return I text again to put back in storage. The comp insurance is about $100 every six months and the days I drive it is less than $3.00 a day. So far it has worked great. Not sure this can be done if there is a loan on your vehicle.
