Default Looking for tips to keep exhaust tips shiny!

I have a factory NPP exhaust with the original tips, the outside (unvalved) tips are always nice and clean while the inside (valved, open under high load) are always filthy. I clean them up and they're dirty after 30mins of driving.

Any tips (pun intended) to keep them cleaner for longer? I'm considering going at all of them with some polish to make them ultra smooth.

Simichrome or chrome polish. I use both with a pneumatic pad.

Before polishing first try an old hotrodder's trick for removing bad carbon build-up.
Get pipes hot, then spray w/ Easy Off oven cleaner, let sit a few minutes & rinse w/ cold water.
Makes finish polishing w/ whatever's used so much easier if bad encrusted crap's gone.

I use this trick and a simple buffing after rinse is good enough I leave 'em be w/o any further effort.

Always had good luck with Rejex applied after I used Simichrome to get them nice and shiny , seemed to keep them much cleaner.

There is no trick to keeping the tips clean. Frequent polishing inside and out with a quality metal polish and using a metal sealer like Rejex, Wolfgang,or other sealers. If the tips are in really bad shape to begin with, run the car to heat up the tips and brush on oven cleaner to dissolve any built up residue. Never use an abrasive like wet/dry sand paper (Yes I have seen it done) course steel wool, Scotchbrite ror other such products, only use metal polishes. Depending on the condition of the tips plan to spend some quality time with your tips. I like a 4 inch buffing wheel on the end of a battery powered drill with Mothers Billet Polish and finish off with Wolfgang sealer.

I dunno. They are so small and relatively easy to clean so the best advice here is probably just clean them regularly when you think they need it. I've never grabbed them after the cars been running so not sure how hot they get. If they get real hot then of course no polish is gonna hold up to help hold any shine. And lets face it....even if the polish holds up you still have to get down there and wipe them down on occasion, esp. being in the exhaust flow and down in a high road debris area.

You mean factory tips are small. Many ditched those toy tips years ago.

My car is carbon flash metallic so I Plasti-dipped the inside and outside of the tips black. No more dirty exhaust tips.

If you polish up the exterior really good and leave the interior of the exhaust tips with a smooth buildup of black carbon soot, it looks natural or custom made black that way.

Just kidding.

Like others said, heat the exhaust tips up good. Clean the best you can to remove as much residual buildup as possible. Then polish using a hand-held battery pack drill with a polishing ball or cone and whatever metal polish you choose.

If I am in need of a cleaning, I use Mother's polish. Then I wipe down/further polish with a microfiber rag on the polishing ball inside the exhaust tips.

For easiest maintenance, run the polishing ball inside the tips once you are done for the day.

Get some Purple Power put it on rag and wipe them down. Rinse well with water and then polish them. Simple and easy.

I’ve considered multiple times about switching to Corsa 4-1/2” Black tips but the thought of spending $1800 to find I don’t like them keeps me at a distance.
