Patient makes my day with a new Corvette
I
One hot looking Vette!
I see this really great special needs patient at my office. She is full of energy and absolutely loves NASCAR. A while back I diid several crowns on her front teeth to correct severe wear and defective enamel. She was a real trooper and how she sat still for those appointments I'll never know. The end result really improved her smile, and she was thrilled. She calls my corvette that usually sits in front of the office "my race car"
This is what she brought for me at her follow up appointment today. She was so excited to give it to me and her mom said picked it out by herself.........Really made my day!

Special needs kids have a special place in this world. They will always teach you more than you will them. I know cause I have a 22 year old who has more friends than I will ever have, seen more things and places than most and enjoys life to the fullest. Congrads to you for having such a special friend and the things you have done for her.

Thanks so much for sharing. You, as a Doctor, worked hard and studied hard to become who you are today. This patient, a special needs one at that, appreciates you and the work you've done for her. I imagine she absolutely loved presenting you with that present. A moment for both of you to cherish..

I have a 24 year old Autistic Grandson so I know how you all feel.......breaks my heart...They are truly special. No jealousy, no judgement, no biggotry, just pure in a sense. We can all learn something from them
