Default need new clutch

Hello all! I have a 2007 convertible base model corvette with a 6.0L and 6 speed tranny, The clutch is slipping and I am wondering if I should put a upgraded clutch in or just go with the OEM clutch from Chevy? I drive it occasionally and like to have some fun but nothing to crazy!! Thanks in advance.

Is this a 'high mile' car?
If it is, OEM got you there.
IMO unless there's a genuine need due to HCI etc, upgrading clutch really isn't needed.
YMMV

Now, if we were talking about a harmonic balancer...

Thanks Landru,

It only has 80000 kilometres on it so I wouldnt consider it a high mileage car. I have only put about 5000k on it so I don’t know how it was driven previously. However this gives me a pretty good idea!! Lol

Yea, guess you know now hard it'd been driven, not really unusual either.
Nonetheless even at 50K miles, car's an '07, 11 years old too.

IF clutch needs to be replaced OEM is just fine, IMO.
Probably around $2K USD, beaucoup labor.
Now's the time to find a qualified shop for this, a dealer will surely skin ya alive.
