Great Lakes Dragaway! I did not realize that track was still around. If this is the one just north of Chicago across the state line in Wisconsin. I raced there back in the mid 60's. Spent must of my race time at U.S. 30, but still did the Great Lakes every now and then.

Funny, I was US 30 DS in the late 60s too. Moved onto bikes in the early 70s. I built more than I drove. My wife, at the time, raced a 10 sec wheelie barred 900 Kawasaki. But we did more street racing with her in Harvey than US 30. Money was good on the streets.

When U.S. 30 was ab AHRA track we ran a C/SA and it set the class record at the nations there in '64 or '65 not sure of the year now. I also ran my 58 Chevy there at the same time in D/G
