140ish for me on I-40 somewhere in AR on my way home from buying our '11 GS back in April. I love the torque on this car, so I will zip up to 100 every now and then.

In my Dodge Magnum, my average speed to work on a great two lane curvy road is probably 75mph. That thing hugs the curves like you wouldn't believe for a station wagon! With 213K miles on it, I can't complain. It's been a great car, truck, cargo hauler since I bought it in 2005.

Interesting topic.

I currently own a C7 (don't have a C6, so I hope you don't mind me visiting), and my top speed since owning it is around 117MPH. The fastest I've ever driven in any vehicle was in my old 2004 Hyundai Tiburon at about 135MPH en route on a Chicago trip. As far as how fast I'm willing to go in any vehicle, I'd say probably about the 150 mark. Odds are great that it will probably happen in my C7.

So will an LS3 ACTUALLY run 180? 185? Or this hype?

People ask me how fast my car is and I don't have a clue. I've had it over 100 a couple of times, on the track and on the turnpike east of Austin. I know the dang thing will run nearly 90 in 2nd gear.

175 mph is my fastest ever but that was in a Ferrari F12. Man that car was sweet.

A stock C6 is programmed to have a max speed of 186 mph, and yes, it can do it given enough of a straight line.

Yup, that's what I read somewhere. And the same for the LS2 -- the 30 hp difference doesn't make any real difference.

Interesting... max torque. Water temp gauge is at a good level too.

140 in my 350z, 147 with my friend driving his BMW X6M. 120 in both my C4 ZR-1 and C5 Z06 at Lime Rock Park. Can't wait to get to the Glen and see something like 145 redlining in 4th at the end of the back straight in the C5Z.

162 on a open secluded road. Do not know the traveled distance. Would hope to get that number in a 1/2 mile run.

90 ZR-1 150ish, hit by a strong crosswind that woke me up and made me realize at that speed you have 0 control over the car. Took too long to get there anyways.
67 Camino 148....6800 rpm in 4th and one more gear to go, got there much quicker, had to do it just once
Prefer 1/4 mi or 1-100, better chance of walking away from it.

196.9 in a standing mile and a half. I believe I was at 182 at the mile marker.

155 in the Z06...easy. Advertised top end is 198 mph. 155 was fast enough. You run out of road real quick.

Had a 1973 Honda CB 750...top speed was about 125...very scary too.
