Good price....should be in every garage if you don't already have one.

I think I paid almost that much for my BT Junior 10 years ago and it still works.

Hi.

I've never heard of this model before.

Just be aware that a cheap battery tender could wreak havoc with the cars electronics. To be safe, the less sophisticated chargers should be used with a disconnected battery.

I'm just saying.

Deltran Battery Tender is one of the most widely used tenders on the market. It is a good unit.

I’ll just be nice and say I bought one of these from Costco a couple years ago and was satisfied enough to buy a second for my other batteries last week when it went on sale.

This company has been around for awhile, I wouldn't hesitate to buy these...price is very good too. I like NOCO genius products though for my charging.

I have seven of the DelTrans tenders. I won't buy any other brand.

I picked this one up this weekend at Costco. It is a model only available at Costco or batterytender.com.

Just be aware that Deltran (like many other large companies, ie. DeWalt) makes a "cheaper" version of its products to sell at large warehouse stores. IIRC, most Deltran chargers carry a 10 year warranty and are made in the USA, but the unit pictured has a 5 yr warranty and might be made in China. I saw a similar deal at Home Depot (?) earlier this year and the charger was made in China.

What I like about DelTran maintainers is their lower float voltages. Just high enough to float the battery and low enough to help keep the electrolyte loss to a minimum.

I bought one last year there and use it on my old Harley as it also has 6 volt setting. Works good so far.

Agreed with the NOCO chargers. Use it for my cars and motorcycles.

To properly charge a battery, it should charge at no more than 10% of its capacity or else it would drastically shorten the battery's natural life. Costco Deltran charger is rated at 3 amp, for my motorcycle it is something I would avoid!

I bought a Battery Tender rated @1,25 amp back in '84 for use on my 14 amp rated motorcycle battery. It is the only one I use on my motorcycle but I do use it occasionally on car battery until I bought a BatteryMINDer.

BatteryMINDer is 2/4/8 amp rated and far superior than most smart charger on the market but at many times over the cost of the Deltran.

I still like and keeping my reliable Deltran expressively for motorcycle, but BatteryMinder is another league!
