Default The waiting for mods blues

I’ve finally got a free weekend & no mods to put on the Vette I’ve put my deposit in for a custom steering wheel from RFE Designs, waiting on some new tail lights from Vette Lights, outlining the next interior pieces I’ll be covering with leather from J-F-Customs...it’s a tough life for sure

Who else is waiting patiently for mods & what are you waiting on?

I am. Ebony and Cashmere door arm pads. Two tone center leather arm rest. Polished barrels of wheels and what ever else I can think of. Did you ever solve the problem with your mirror light LED’s ?

It's half of the fun! Currently waiting to install: New shift cable, carbon fiber hurricane intake and red radiator hoses. Currently waiting on suede wrapped radio bezel, hydro dipped shift and ebrake buttons, hydro dipped window switch bezels and machine silver and leather elbow savers. I really think that I have just as much enjoyment from modding as I do from driving the car.

Lookin good there. I never did get around to swapping out the LEDs in the mirror or putting them in the license plate lights. Guess I can do that today.

Also just got some seatbelt color samples in the mail so will be deciding if I want to swap those out.

I like the one with the edges, but all would look awesome. Once I finish the needed stuff on my c4 (heater core) and the boat (What feels like everything), I want to start adding some toys to the c6. B pillar seems like a good place to start as it has a rattle in it, just havent decided on leather or alcantara. I dont know if JF customs alcantara matches the OEM stuff. Red seatbelts would be a nice touch, and fairly subtle.

I'm with you Jabbster, about the only thing I would want to do now is get my top either wrapped black or painted black, I've seen it on my color and liked it

I’m leaning more toward the black with orange edges as I think that will match the black seats with orange stitching pretty well. The two oranges are both different enough from my stitching color that I think it would not look right.

J-F customs will send you some samples for ~$2. I’d request a sample of the alcantara to see if it matches. I’ll be ordering additional leather/orange stitching for the door panels, A pillars, B billar, halo, door sills, rear speakers, front headliner, & eventually the dash. Essentially everything plastic will be leather.

Got you all beat. Ordered the new C7 LED headlights from "Team Umnitza" September 12th and probably won't see them before the 15th. Z06 carbon hood currently at the B/S being painted. Won't be able to put it on until after headlight install. New carbon edition radio bezel should be here later in the week, maybe next weekend I can install that.

I’ll up the ante. I am also waiting on a perfect oem leather dash. I am super pumped!

Fortunately, my B92 Carbon hood was one of the quickest mods. 5 days from order to pick up at he Chevy dealer. Then dropped it off at my body shop at 9:00 am & it was painted ready for pick up at 4 pm, had it on the car by 5 The rest of the mods have taken some time. Hope to have the tail lights in a week or so & the steering wheel by New Years.

I feel your pain. I actually had to put my modding on hold completely so I could take care of family. Now that it's getting toward the end of the year and bonus/tax time I'm eyeballing some LG long tubes and a tune. Hopefully next year I can finish up the rest of the car.

My headers, pulley, and other goodies are here, but my mechanic isn't available until December 7. Will be ordering an MGW shifter to hold me over.

Patiently waiting for a shaft seal for my Procharger. Car had a multitude of SC problems (belts, brackets, HB, tensioner), and I've fixed it all and it then immediately blew a shaft seal. UGH.

I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve. It's supposed to be here tomorrow.

I think you have us all beat as that will never arrive. I'll be covering my dash with leather from J-F-Customs. It'll be the last interior piece I do, but will be done eventually - $300 & my elbow grease.

looks great! I decided to tear apart the interior, send the seatbelts off for custom webbing & installed a HUD, new head unit & front camera this weekend. Just ordered 12 interior leather pieces from J-F Customs today as well for the rear speakers, roof halo, B pillars, door sills, front door sill section, passenger side console & both seat belt retractor covers.

Tail lights get delivered tomorrow & new seatbelts come on Wednesday
