OEM Wheels or Replica Wheels
I currently own a 2012 G.S. Corvette Centennial Edition with black wheels and I want to upgrade to Chrome G.S. wheels. the House of Wheels has 2 offering of G.S. Chrome wheels #1 GM OEM Wheels for $1.300 or #2 a set of their Replica G.S. Chrome wheels " made in Asia" for $900. My question: are the GM OEM wheels worth the extra $400 difference. then I understand that the GM OEM Wheels are made in Asia also, so would you spend the extra $400 for a set of GM OEM wheels? and if so explain why you would do that?
thanks boonie.

Photos of what you have now, are they gloss of satin black>
Mine are OEM chromes and they say Mexico on the back side, whatever I am looking for black maybe we could trade. Mine are Plasti-dipped for now but are cherry under it.

Replica wheels are typically heavier and not as strong. If you just want them to cruise around town, they're fine. I'd just as soon pick up a used set of OEM wheels if it was me. Assuming I wanted chrome for some reason, in which case I wouldnt have bought a centennial. The satin black wheels just look better on the centennial in my HIGHLY biased opinion.

2020 C6 of the Year Winner - Modified
For $100/wheel just get the OEM. I have replica C7 Z06 wheels on mine, which I am actually pretty happy with because apparently the OEM C7 ZO6 wheels have a tendency to bend with the slightest of bumps in the road. When I purchased my car last year it had C6 Z06 wheels on it with a poor powdercoating job. I noticed when I sold them that 1 front & 1 rear were OEM Speedlines while the other front and other rear were replicas I just hope the previous owner got a good deal on them.

why are there two post of C8’s when the OP asked about chrome C6 GS wheels in 2018?
these two post should be moved to this thread about blue C8 and wheels.
