Default Are my lenses salvageable? :/

Unfortunately two summers of Texas heat and sun have taken their toll on my poor lenses. Are these salvageable with a 300-3k sanding and then a uv protection / clear coat? I know there's options to take the whole lens off and replace it for about $200 but I'd rather not remove the whole light/bumper as that's a huge undertaking of which I just don't have the space or tools to do.

If it’s on the outside then it will clean up. If it’s crazed on the inside then you will need new lenses !

You can use a buffer and some polishing compound on the outside to see if that cleans up a small area first - if it doesn't - then its on the inside and you need to replace.

Here's one way to do it:

Any method will be challenging with the covers on. IMHO the sandpaper/rubbing compounds technique provides best, long standing results.

I’d replace the lenses & maybe even paint the buckets while you’ve got them apart. It’s not too difficult & you don’t have to remove the bumper to get the lights out/in.
