That's why they're referred to as "Stealerships". If you can't do simple maintenance yourself, best to find a reputable independent shop. Check with your local Corvette club for recommendations.

What does that even mean: " . . . my engine air filter in yellow . . . " and " . . . my windshield wiper at red." And the green pass. WTF does colors have to do with anything?

They always seem to find enough people to throw money at them though.

This is EXACTLY why I do my own oil changes on my C6 and C7... I do as much of the DIY maintenance as my skill set will allow... Saves time, money and as you just saw...mistakes.

Just brought my wife's "British" car in for 15,000 mile service yesterday. They color rate everything too. They changed oil and filter used Mobil 1 Euro formula; replaced wipers; replaced air filter; replaced cabin filters; rotated and rebalanced all 4 tires. Then there were 4 body moldings they said they didn't like the way they looked, so they replaced all of them under warranty; they washed the car. $88 and change, and that included a courtesy car with a $20 coverage for gas, broken glass, etc.

This isn't stealing, it was worth it and I don't want to change oil on a brand new car with oil change warranty.

I've only been to a dealer maybe twice in the past 50 years, only for warranty work. Can you explain this color thingy a little better? (see my last post).

Many dealerships (and other vehicle service providers) use something similar to this and give it to the customer to make them aware of anything that may or may not need servicing.

LOL, thanks guys!

I was thinking they were taking crayons and coloring questionable things on the car or something. But that seemed pretty stupid, so I had to find out.

Gandeboz, another thread? 32 threads started in 107 posts. Just wondering if while you were at the dealership did you have them address or look at any of your other issues? Car runs bad in the cold, key fob doesn't work, loose steering wheel, egg smell when accelerating, stereo problem, car shaking while braking, and today's other problem about brake lights don't work, and so on. I'm not sure you should be driving as some of these sound like real safety concerns.

You think he's starting too many threads and asking too many questions? How many would you approve of?

You can start as many as you want. But most of these sound like B.S. since there is never any follow up, and issues never get resolved. OP was supposedly at the dealership today, but left with brake lights not working properly. And don't forget 2 days ago key fob was acting strange, and the day before his car "vibrates heavily at idle and runs crappy overall". Good thing he got his oil changed.

Maybe the car is fine, the owner...open for discussion.
