Same thing in Arizona, and Texas to a certain extent.

Sorry to burst your guys' bubbles, but it's hardly desolate around here. Could be MORE desolate and it would suit me fine. There is no obvious difference in population here from summer to winter.

I knew that picture would draw you guys out, similar pictures always do -- every fall. You southern guys are really easy and predictable targets. Attachment 48336956

Although I do get a bit stir crazy come spring, winter is a nice break for awhile. Cant imagine looking forward to a brown Christmas every year.

After living in New Jersey for the last 44 years, I don't like the white stuff anymore.

Yea....I don't mind the winter break either. But not for 6 months. Maybe in Dec. give me a little cold weather (nothing below 20 at night and always above freezing during the day) but for the other 11 months bring on the 80's !!!!......

slightly different direction on this and a bit off topic but WTF...
did my own oil changes on my first car ( starting in 1980 ). put the usual 5 quarts in.
started the car only to have the oil come pouring out of the dipstick tube.
It "appears" that forgot to drain the original pan of oil first. luckily, nothing happened, other than a bit of clean up.
If it's true, that you learn from your mistakes, then after almost 40yrs, I must be a genius!

So, you mixed 30 with 20. Not a bad idea as Winter is coming. You might want to make this "mistake" every Autumn as it will help get oil to your valve galleries quicker on start-up...

Seriously, it's not a problem, as long as both oils meet the spec set by the mfr.
