Default Navigation Radio Problem

I have a 2008 Corvette Convertible
I have a problem. I opened my nav screen to remove the Navigation Disk and put an updated disk in. After ejecting the old disk, the screen closed and now it will not open.
The screen is lit and says: CAUTION CANNOT LOAD SYSTEM SOFTWARE DISK TYPE IS INCORRECT PLEASE INSERT CORRECT SYSTEM DISK. There is no disk in the system and it will not open to let me put the new disk in. Is there a way to get this screen open? HELP

Just one of those electrical glitches that sometimes occurs with the C6 system. You can pull the 15 fuse (RDO/S-BAND/VICS), in the passenger footwell, and it will likely reset the Nav unit and will work again, or disconnect the main battery (but you will have to re-index windows)

I had the opposite happen, I opened the Nav door, and it wouldn't reclose with the push button.
I pulled the 15A fuse, it reset, and it never happened again.

FWIW One can manually force the door closed, but
I have not tried manually opening (Yes grab with hands
and apply pressure to close).

Just sometimes time will cure it....park over night, retry in the AM.
Disconnect battery...park over night, retry in the AM.
Tap the side of the console and the radio face plate with a rubber hammer.
Apply dry high pressure air around the unit.

All above again just FWIW.
Let us all know if you have success and what worked.
