From all I've read, Kenwood & Pioneer seem to be the most popular. I installed a Pioneer avh-2300NEX about 6 months ago & really liked it. I just replaced it this weekend with a Pioneer avh-4200NEX only because the 2300 didn't have the ability to run front & rear cameras (which I swore the description on amazon said it could). Both of them have Apple Carplay/Android Auto, bluetooth, pandora, spotify, usb connections, etc. You can customize the background screen on the 2300 & 4200, but the 4200 allows you to customize the start up/splash screen I believe. They both also play dvds, you know for those long road trips when you don't want to keep your eyes on the road . To retain factory steering wheel controls & Onstar you'll need the PAC RP5-GM11 harness/adapter. I've gone through 2 of them, the first one was faulty. They're about $90 but very cheaply made & programming your steering wheel controls to work correctly is hit or miss, at least in my experience with it. If you're swapping out the head unit, might as well add at least a back up camera. Most posts I've read people have had good luck with cameras under $30. I think the two I bought were about $35 ea & made by Crimestoppers.
