There is no need for the HUD windshield in a C6 , see the many posts about this ....including mine

I had it in my C5 and now in the C6. I use it all the time, especially for the speed. I added a <$50 hud to my other car. As an old guy I don’t like looking down at the speedometer doing 80 in heavy traffic. The added hud lays on the dash and reflects on a reflector on the windshield.

Since this is a HUD thread, I had a side-bar question.

I am only 5'10" and I feel like this thing is for people 5'7" lol I have to hunch over a little to see the whole thing, I have my in the lowest position it will go to, anyone else notice this?

You can have mine - I didn't like it in my C5 and I still don't like it in my C6.

I'm 6'2" and don't have any issue with mine.

maybe try a higher position than a lower one. I can't imagine there's any problem.

if I go any higher it just goes away. I can only use it at its lowest position. I will post pics.

OK after reading some, I assume my HUD was a repair, and the gear teeth got off sync.

Sliding 10+ over the limit is real easy in a C6 ... and I use the HUD all the time - along with the cruise control - to keep reasonably close to speed limits when I am in cruise or travel mode. The large HUD speed display is great imho ... the other info and display options are not very useful for my type of driving.

I love it and use it all the time, especially when at speed. With so little ground clearance, I don’t like to take my eyes off the road for a nano second, for fear of running over some junk that fell off the trailer of some lawn care “specialists”.
I hate driving behind them, crap always falling off their trucks and trailers as they just go moseying along.
Like the nav display also. Being sunny here most of the time, eyes can’t adjust fast enough to switch down and read the interior screen.

I’ll be adding a leather dash to my car (‘09 base) and have decided to add HUD at the same time. I’ll use this forum to direct my install. Will keep you all posted.
