You got me curious, so I got a few pics of the stampings with the wheels on the car and the GM mark is cast in as you can see in the picture. They are definitely original.

Good job on the buy, you definitely got the real deal. Even the picture I posted with the suspect GM stamping, the inside finish on the spoke with the GM stamp looks cheap and just not right.

Default One of 300

Here is a picture of one of the original 300 sets made for GM.
Purchased from a Forum vendor years ago. The word CORVETTE is embossed in one of the vertical spokes.
GM started labeling their wheels with the "CORVETTE" embossed/cast into the outside of the wheel to deter counterfeiting since
it would be illegal to duplicate their design without their permission.

Can't seem to get the picture to display.
I dragged and dropped it, it appeared to upload ok. Anyone got an idea of what happened?

In the picture I posted from Ecklers website, those wheels also have the word Corvette embossed in the vertical spoke. But in the second picture the GM stamp on the inside does not look correct. So having the Corvette on the outside I'm thinking is not a sure fire way to determine if they are real or reproductions. Believe me I want nothing more than Ecklers's to sell the real ones because I would probably buy a set, but unless I can confirm they are real I ain't taking no chances. BTW I honestly don't think there are any real new GM ones around. Any sets you can find are probably reproductions with a fake GM stamp on the inside.

You probably bought them from Nate@ Corvette Garage.

I talked to Ecklers today about these and they said they were reproductions. I told them you really should change the description, they agreed but they probably won't.
