Default T-Bone the day before Thanking Giving

After waiting for the right C6 to come along, I found a 05 Z51 6sp manual with 54k on the clock. The previous owner completely upgraded the stereo, installed Z06 rear quarter panels, deck spoiler, Corsa catback, and ZR1 wheels. I had been enjoying driving my car for 12 days when I was T-Boned by a 29 year old driving a GMC Serra. I can only assume she was texting and driving in order to drive right thru a red light at 4:30 in the afternoon the day before Thanks Giving. The biggest thing I'm grateful for is that my grandson wasn't with me. Usually when I'm driving the "Vette"(my C4 or C6) my grandson with right along with me. The car is repairable and I should get is back a couple of days before Christmas.

Brought 9 Nov 2018

Looking at your pics I'm also glad your grandson wasn't with you as well. Sorry to see what your going through. Hopefully she got a citation.

Glad to hear you are alright, and the car is repairable, and you want to sue her, get lawyer, and then go get her phone records. If she was texting, it will show the time she texted.

If you want to do some reading, here is your owners manual:

x2.
Typically a side-hit like that results in some kind of frame damage.

Getting rammed by an idiot texting = actively seeking serious compensation.

Sorry for your damage. Hope the repair doesn't take too long. It took GM about 6 weeks to get me a new door when I got hit in the door 2 years ago in my 012 coupe.

Looks like the hit was high on the door. No damage to rocker panel so hopefully no frame damage.

OP glad your OK and hope they repair your car to your satisfaction.

I may be wrong but I don't see damage to either. It is hard to tell from the pic though.

OH man I hate to see these...glad you are okay.
The side damage doesn't look to bad, but hitting that curb I would suspect some suspension damage and drivability issues down the road.
