Default rear spoiler recommendation?

I am looking at buying a c6 as second corvette. much more comfortable than c5 z06.
Would like to add a painted rear spoiler with the outside sections taller than the center similar to c7 z06.
I think it is called zr1 style?
Anyone had experience on how to install or can point me in the right direction?
Thank you

There are many articles & YouTube instructional videos, just do a forum search & you'll find the latest one that's a video step-by-step. Having gone through ordering, then returning a couple spoilers from different vendors, I will state this... you really do get what you pay for, so try not to cheap out, the inexpensive units do not have the quality that (in general) the more costly units have. I started with a primered ZR1 spoiler that I thought I could get painted my body color, & to have a body shop do it, was quoted $350. Long story short, I eventually went with a C7Carbon ZR1 CF covered spoiler which looks great, & fits perfectly. They did a solid on the price w/shipping.

Check this one out, he's who I followed...

Yikes! I have the C7 Carbon ZR1 extended spoiler & my body shop charged me $150 to paint it with a lifetime warranty on the paint work.

Mine is one of the so called "cheap" ones, I used it as it came because it fit my look of flat black trims, but you can have it painted or hydrodipped as Turbo6AT (Ron) did. Its up to you what to do

Same $170 ZR1 style spoiler that 'Not So Fast' has in the photo he posted above.

Except, I had mine hydrodipped ...

I suggest you look at the thread about halfway down the 1st page. I think it is by RPIDon. It is a painted ZR1 spoiler. This is what I have and love it.

Lots of options. But yes the ZR1 or the "Full width" or "GM Racing spoiler" spoiler is what you are looking for. Some vendors have created their version of the ZR1 spoiler (extreme or extended) which is taller than the factory one.

Check out this thread I started a while back.

Nope.

The ZR1 spoiler has the taller outboard sections that the OP wants. Any extreme/extended versikn are after market.

The full width/GM Racing/Ron Fellows spoiler does not have the stepped section.

Same as Jabcat above with a ZR1 Extended spoiler from C7 Carbon. Was perfect right out of the box and ready to paint.

Thanks for everyone's help, The installation video and photos were very helpful.
The spoiler makes the rear look less plane, (more interesting)
I am looking at RPI designs. They offer pre painted spoilers in all factory colors for under $400.
That would save me time in researching good paint shops.
Will post photo when complete.

Be aware that their painted items take quite a long time, they say 4 weeks but I’ve ordered 2 painted items that both took 8 weeks to receive & when received the paint work was not that great. They wanted me to send back the item and wait for them to fix it instead of sending me a new item. Also if a problem develops down the road much more of a hassle than having a local paint shop who guarantees their work.

There are are plenty of complaints about RPI on the forum, I’d research it thoroughly before spending your money.

The C7 Carbon’s extended ZR1 gloss blackfiberglass spoiler is $449. PM them through the corvette forum and they’ll give you a great deal. Probably around $460 shipped, but don’t quote me. Lol
